With Beanie out, Pryor is just too much size and speed to leave on the bench. We know he can throw it but can he catch too?

This is what I have been thinking a little about...Line him up at receiver some, give him a short screen, or put him the backfield in a single back and give him a pitch or something, the safeties would have to stay back looking for a HB toss pass, and he could maybe bust one on the run...
I do believe that we will see some of this tomorrow...I don't like the idea of just giving him the reigns at QB...Todd has too much experience and TP not enough to do something like that...Maybe a play or two here and there, but not whole series...Unless he shows that he should be in there for whole series...Don't force the issues, I think todd can have a solid game...

I wouldnt be so sure, as the argument goes, if Ohio was too much pressure for him...cant imagine tressel putting him under USC's pressure.
I think Pryor should be given a series to run the offense. Let him loose and see how much pressure he really can take, instead of assuming. (EDIT: which if i recall, seems to be what tressel did. didnt pryor get a series and go 3-and-out against Ohio?)

Yeah, that's exactly what I have in mind. I also think we can line him up next to Todd but then split him out wide and create some mismatches against LBers. He is 6-6 after all.

Going to have to disagree with him playing an entire series. Putting him in for single plays would be more effective and keep USC off-balance IMO. And it wouldn't be a ridiculous amount of pressure (unless the one play was at the goal line with seconds left when we needed a TD to win, obviously). Giving him a whole series is setting him up to fail, and that could hurt his confidence. Don't need to be doing any of that. But I don't know the kid. I guess I'll just trust the coaches.
We could line him up at a few spots (QB, HB, WR, TE) and not even give him the ball, but he'd still have an impact.

No disrespect intended to Todd but if we line up in the I-formation with Mo Wells and Boeckman we're going to have a long night. We have to take some risks with the freshman, open up the field, and try to put some pressure on the SC defense.
