Still think he's 7th best among Big 12 QBs?

As a QB or exciting prospect developing into something special?
Yesterday showed he is not YET on the same level as Bradford, Daniel, Reesing, Harrell and I'd probably toss McCoy in that list too. So maybe he's 6th instead of 7th. I want Terrelle running my squad, particularly for his upside and remaining years, but he's not a better QB yet. That was pretty clear. |

Didn't realize this was your private thread.Terrelle showed excellent poise and flashes of brilliance yesterday. He also showed his age quite often, and was very mediocre as a passer. We don't need an outstanding QB to win, we need a leader with a killer instinct, and TP has that in spades. When he develops the rest of his game, the rest will be trembling in their boots (many already are). Fortunately, it's pretty clear he's only scratching the surface as a passer and is eager to realize that full potential. Very unusual for a freshman, especially one with his skill set. OSU fans are quite blessed. I'm still ecstatic that he's starting for my favorite team, but it was quite clear he isn't on the same level YET with that ridiculous bunch of QBs from the b12. He did not throw the ball well for about 3 quarters in that game. It's not something I expect to remain that way either, like Steven Threet. But in that setting, he showed his youth as a passer.
Thing is, that's hardly the most important thing to take away from that game. His confidence, leadership and certain throws were truly impressive considering what he was facing. I'm simply evaluating Terrelle in regards to the prolific bunch from the b12. How would you rate his passing? |

Did you not watch the game? The kid clearly was having some trouble finding the open receiver, especially when pressure was being brought.
The best part is, he still was able to win the game, with the help of his unprecedented physical talents. It's only gonna get better from here. |

I know there was one clear instance that he didn't find Posey open, but I thought he did a heck of a job overall in finding open receivers. He needs to throw the ball out of bounds, but when you are 6-6 235 with 4.4 speed, I think you'd be a little more patient in finding some additional time to scan downfield too. The key thing here is that he didn't force the ball down the middle of the field when no one was open. That's something that most freshman QBs struggle mightily with. |

better then Wisconsin's QB. If he hit a few of his open WR'S .Cheese wins easily.
How many drops did OSU WR'S have 4,,5,,,? |

Pryor looked excellent for a true freshman. But I'm with jwins. There were times when he didn't see the open receiver(s), but also times when he took big sacks/losses without throwing it away. Looked great (special) for a freshman, but not yet comparable to an elite college QB as a passer.
