Yea, they were. I was there and after the late hit call on Dane, they were booing for a good 5-10 minutes. I thought it was a good call, but had I been on the other end, I probably wouldn't have. And to the TP trash talking, he was in someones face after almost every play. Him and Vontae locked up for a good 10 seconds, I just wish I could hear one of those. I wonder if it's friendly talk or actual [censored] talk.

Being from Illinois, I only wish for them to lose one week a year. Honestly those got to be the most loyal fans in the big10, I got mad respect for them. I was surrounded by Illinois fans saturday, very respectful. It's gotta be hard to follow a team that has 1 good season every 5. Alot of fans came out of nowhere last season, those fans are probably texas tech fans right now. But when you go to a game you see real fans. I got into a conversation with some of them and they were talkin about how the only thing they had to cheer for for 3 years was a first down and only about 5 times a game. It makes me take a different look at the success tOSU has had and how much more I appreciate it. This probably shouldn't be in Terrelles thread, but I was just replying. TP IS A MAN AMONG BOYS! ABSOLUTE BEAST!

Terrelle Pryor is a very unique style of athlete. It's his poise. He sits patiently, almost like he is hypnotizing the defense. The way that he makes his moves on his runs is also very unique. You never know what he is trying to do. That's his greatest strength. He always has options. He stares down the person he is going to embarrass and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it.

1. Sometimes he cuts inside at the last second. Watch as he stares down the Illini defender as he cuts inside.

2. Sometimes he cuts outside at the last second. Watch as he stares down the Illini defender as he goes to the outside.

3. Watch how he moves just enough to freeze the defenders into thinking he is going to run just long enough for the Great Dane to get a little more open.

4. Sometimes he will drag the defender in. Look as he looks to the right of the sideline and then just throws it to a wide open Brandon Smith for a huge gain. He can sell a screen.

5. Sometimes, when he runs out of space to cut inside or go outside, he will just knock you down.

6. Oh, and when he does go downfield to block, he can freeze a defender in a very unusual way: He calls them out.

He's just dialed in differently. You don't know what he is going to do. He has versatility. And, he lacks any really bad habits or tendencies in terms of decision making. He can humiliate defenders with dazzling moves on the field or hypnotize defenders by not making a move to run and throw instead. He can do everything and he also puts himself in a position where the defense will have to choose what to cover. And then he just takes whatever they leave behind and he amplifies what he gets with his incredible skillset. It's so deceptively simple. It's all finesse.

Every once in a while, just watch Pryor play and see how many times he puts himself in a situation with multiple options. He forces the defense to committ to one choice, and then he takes the another choice. And then, just imagine what he will be like in two years when Coach Joe Daniels gets his mechanics in full order.

For an athlete in any sport to take that "style" of play from the high school level to the college level and succeed says a lot about the pure athletic ability and sport smarts of the young man.

Even though it's more Barney Fife than Clint Eastwood, Michigan is still the bad guy in the black hat.
The signs are everywhere, even near the rafters of LeBron's crib, the Quicken Loans Arena. When Carlos Boozer -- the biggest traitor in Cleveland sports history not named Art Modell -- stepped to the foul line for Utah in Saturday night's game with the Cavs, the Michigan logo flashed on the Q's Jumbotron.
It triggered cries of "Boozer" ... without the zer.
The scoreboard operator gets it, even if Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor hasn't yet warmed to the idea of loathing anything cloaked in maize and blue.
"They're just another team to me until I get into this rivalry," said the presumptive Big Ten Freshman of the Year after Saturday's 30-20 win at Illinois, the Buckeyes' final tuneup for Armageddon CV.
Pryor's comment wasn't nearly as inflammatory as Terry Glenn's "Michigan is nobody" declaration before he and the Buckeyes laid an egg in 1995. But Pryor's cold shoulder elicited a stronger reaction on message boards from OSU fans than his scintillating performance against the Illini.
You'd think from the scolding nature of the Internet posts that Michigan was enjoying its best season in 129 years, not its worst.
Buckeye Nation still craves its pound of flesh, still wants its quarterback to express blood lust, even though the Wolverines coming to Columbus this weekend are a shell of the team that lost last year at home to Appalachian State. Chew on that for a second. That's pretty horrendous. Their bones have been picked clean this season by the likes of Toledo and Northwestern.
The Wolverines are in danger of falling to 1-7 against Ohio State during the Jim Tressel era. That would be the worst eight-game stretch by either team since the rivalry was moved to the end of the season in 1935. Even John Cooper, who was 2-10-1 in the series and started out 0-5-1, managed a win and a tie in his first eight years at OSU.
Michigan's travails, at least this season, can be laid at Pryor's feet, you know.
He was going to grandly usher in the Rich Rodriguez era at Michigan, pulling the trigger on a spread attack that would make Michigan the envy of its Big Ten peers and set the hidebound conference on its, well ... hide.

At one point he is 10 yards behind Beanie on that play. How many other QBs would even bother to follow the play, let alone get ahead of the RB to throw a block?

His field awareness is excellent. On the play that was overturned for the Herron non-fumble, he was in the process of tackling the first guy (Miller, IIRC), and shifted to cover the outside guy because he sensed the lateral was about to happen. Just before he got flagged for a facemask (not marked off, and later wiped out by replay) for grabbng the guy's shoulder and throwing him down.

I have no doubt in my mind that TP is going to live up to his word and will do everything in his power to send the Seniors out on a win against scum. He alone will probably have dick rod in tears after the first quarter after he realizes that he screwed up in recruiting TP and realizes the monster he is going to have to face the next few years(hoping it's 3 more!)! Hell dick rod will probably be on the bench crying by the end of the game!

I like the talk to an extent. Part of me thinks - shut up and play. The other part of me says - we need this. We need some swagger and some "nastiness."

The ref's were god awful all game.

They really screwed Illinois.. late in the 1st half - the Illini were driving on us using a hurry-up offense.. then they reviewed a play (which did not need to be reviewed) and then a TV timeout. After the 10 minute break - the Illini went 3 and out.

The call on Dane was HORRIBLE. The ball was tipped and still live when he was hit.. how in the hell can that be a dead ball personal foul? If they called that on us - there would be a meltdown on the board.

On Terrelle though.. do you think he will develop more arm strength? Or is that one of those - either you've got it or you don't qualities.

Thats my only complaint with TP thus far - he doesn't have a big time arm. But as soon as I say there isn't zip on his passes he'll throw a beautiful deep ball..

He needs a nickname. Since he causes the defense(and everybody) to stop and watch him(mesmerizing) I think The Snake Charmer sounds good.
Some were calling him "Jazz" cause he's so smooth. That works also.
