Oh, no doubt, and it absolutely shows that he is doing just fine in his sophomore season. I was just pointing out that there is a one game difference.

I think the the biggest factor in Pryor having a good game today was our running game being so dominant. The O-line had a good game but I don't have any specifics about the performance. If we are mistake free, even with Pryor's so-so throwing stats, I think we are very tough to beat. One more thing - seems like the coaching staff is making it more of a priority to throw a few deep balls - love to see it.

In hindsight, TP's performance was Krenzel-esque today. Stat line wasn't tremendous but he put the ball on the money for a crucial deep ball and generally took care of the ball and extended plays with his feet.

Pryor ended up 8/17 for 125 and 2 passing TDs. From my memory there were at least 2 plays where he put the ball on receivers hands and they just couldn't come up with it (Carter at the beginning of the game, Posey towards the middle on a slant route).

Not hating on the wide outs, just pointing out at that point you might be looking at something more like 10/17 for 175 and 2 TDs. Combine that with 10 carries for 50 yards and a TD and the performance shifts from Krenzel-esque to Troy Smith junior year-ish.

This was his best performance as a passer yet; never seen him go through his progressions as well as he did today. I think this fanbase, myself included, sometimes forgets how young he is.

Sometimes you have to take 1 step back to take 2 steps forward. As painful as it's been to watch him as a passer at points this year, in terms of that facet of his game, his high points from this season dwarf his high points from last season.

Look forward to seeing the progression continue.

They said it on the broadcast but I wasn't sure. Does TP really have two turf toes. 7 carries and 54 yrds with a turf toe seems crazy. And to add a bad knee and ankle.

I doubt that... I heard them say that too but I haven't heard anything about the turf toe. I just read on theozone that it's his ankle that's hurting him a bit. Even though he kinda banged his knee a bit against New Mexico State Pryor quoted saying his knee doesn't really bother him but it's just his ankle.

Hopefully he can get some rest and gut atleast one more game out like today's...

Pryor did ABSOLUTELY everything u could have asked of him today, his stat line was not outstanding because he wasn't given the ball in the situations to make it so (you can't run it first and 2nd down and then expect to turn it over to TP to convert 3rd and longs all night). He made the most out of the actual opportunities he was given with the football and didn't make mistakes

Plus if he had hit a wide-open Sanzo on the bomb from midfield near the end of the first half...

absolutely loved the two swing passes we ran to Posey early in the game....i was wondering why we didn't see it run in the second half......

btw....those plays are considered run plays right? They were showing Pryor's stats early in the game with no yards/completions passing after those plays....still, i thought Pryor did a good job getting the ball out to the receiver quickly.....seems like in past games he took too long to get the ball out and the corners were all over that swing pass....

Yes, if the pass is backwards then it is considered a lateral and a running play for Posey.

Box score credits Posey with 2 rushes for 19 yards.

For all the criticism he received between the USC and Purdue games, TP deserves mountains and mountains of praise for yesterday. A beautiful offensive performance all around, from schemes and play calling down to execution, and a very special game for TP.

If his progression continues, I wouldn't be very surprised if pretty soon we have the best damn college quarterback in the land!
