Talking about top running backs I think you have to at least mention Berry's name...I wouldn't rank him above them, but he can hold a candle to those guys and at least be in the discussion...

Scout has him 5th behind those two and David Oku and Lamarr Miller...Rivals has him 4th behind those two and Trent Richardson...

I think Berry is the third best back in the nation. Cierre Wood and Bryce Brown are easily the best (with Brown being in front Wood).

Presupposing that Berry is either the #1, #2 or #3 back in the U.S., there's no doubting that he would be a HUGE get and the news about his feelings on tOSU is very encouraging...

From the FSU site. Berry says he loved his visit to Ohio State and has them right at the top of the list. He says he is still looking at Florida State.


My take: Given who did the article, and how it still came off very pro Ohio State....Buckeye fans should be VERY happy with where they stand.

Says Florida and Florida State should be visiting soon. Lists Ohio State & Florida as his top 2. Talks about visiting Auburn in June and possibly LSU, Michigan & West Virginia.

I have personally met this kid. He is impressive in every sense of the word, polite, has a good head on his shoulers, and plays football like a god. An important thing to keep in mind is that he plays in 6A in Miami, FL. The speed that exisits down here is incredible. He has run the fastest time in the 40 at every combine he has attended this year. One of which had nearly 1500 other HS football players from the area. He is about 5'11", I have seen him clocked in the high 4.28 & 4.29 on laser (blazing fast) with my own eyes, benchs over 345lbs, and has the vertical of a WR and is only 16, he doesn't turn 17 until later this month. Some of the footage in his videos was taken only 3-4 months after his 16th birthday and he is running up field breaking 18 year old seniors' ankles. This kid will be a future 1st round pick and there is no doubt that he will be playing on Sundays... I only hope that OSU steps up to the plate and does everything they can to get this kid. There are also seveal other players that OSU should look at. Stedman Bailey (spelling) WR is also a BEAST this kid is virtually uncoverable. He also attended the camp at UF... OSU should grab both of these kids while there is a chance!!!! There has been alot of hype about Bryce Brown he lives in his older Brother's shadow... he is good but over-hyped.... There has also been alot of hype about Lamar Miller in S. Fla.. they guy runs slow and blew out his shoulder last year... has has not been the same since... The bottom line is there has been alot of comparisons regarding Berry on this board... In 5 years people are going to be comparing other people to him... people will be saying "This guys runs like Jaamal Berry!!!!!!!!!"

Please forgive me for asking, but may I ask under what circumstances, or in what capacity you were able to be meet and evaluate Jaamal and the other phenoms...to put into perspective? Thank you.
