Can't get INTs when they don't throw at you.

I see both sides of the argument, but I'm glad he'll be at CB. He had some turnovers at safety, but I think he made/makes the biggest impact at CB.

I am also in favor of Jenkins exclusively playing CB. I would put Chekwa at nickel. Jenkins has the size and tackling ability to play safety, but he excells in man coverage. Jenkins, Washington, and Chekwa give us the best CB corps in the country. Russell is a stud at FS, inability to catch notwithstanding. Coleman, I believe, is ready to turn the corner. Best secondary since 2002, IMO. I would love to see O'neal have a big year. He shows flashes of greatness, but needs to be consistent.

while i was completely against the decision, i understand some of the mentality behind it. first and foremost, your best threat has the ability to roam the field and attack the ball on obvious passing downs, this is never a bad thing. not to mention the fact that we were starting anderson russell (half a year experience) and curt coleman (absolutely 0 experience). on a defense with 1 senior, the youngest group was safety by a large margin. thats saying a lot. safety wasn't so much an area of weakness per say. but it certainly wasn't the d's greatest strength due to the inexperience. so im sure the coaches were also looking at it from an exposure situation as well.
personally, im all about learn while you burn. but thats just me.

And, yes I did notice he ranked us very high in every category but that ranking can't be brushed aside. What is he smoking?

Also i picked up Athlons college football preview magazine today and they had us picked as the best secondary in the nation and had a photoshoot picture of Malcolm, Chimdi, Colemen and Washington.

So when do you guys think we will know what punishment Washington is facing?
