Hmmmm......maybe because athletes may use performance inhancing drugs to perform better on the field. Just a guess.....

Profile of D Wash from the Ohio State website. Thought this paragraph was worth noting. Doesn't sound like a kid who'd do something this dumb.

"I’m looking to do the best I can with this being my junior year,” Washington said. “I’m a year smarter and have a year more of experience under my belt so I hope it will be a good year for me. As a whole, we are a more mature defense with a lot of experience and play making abilities"

I sure hope this is just a crazy rumor.

I'd be willing to bet that everyone on the team, or on pretty much any other team for that matter, has a positive sound bite like that for their official athletic site quote. The fact that he didn't specifically mention spliffs in his OSU athletic site quote isn't really evidence of much.
