Has anyone thought about posting a link to the drive on the front page so it receives a little more exposure. I found it through the new posts search function, but when I actually tried to find it in the forum it took some searching (not much, but the easier it is to find this thread the better).
Edit: I see now that it is at the top of most of the forums, but if other people are like me, they just use the new post function and never enter any of the sub forums most of the time, so it was slightly difficult for me to find.

I'm all signed up for the monthly! The heart in me wants to drop a big amount now, but the head loves this option.
I'm not going to preach to anybody because I haven't been the best in being proactive in donating in the past untill now. But, this site is priceless. I once wrote a whole long post titled "Why I Love The Buckeye Planet"... It was late one night, it felt like the begining of Jerry Maguire writing his misson statement...I put my feelings out there. Then all of a sudden I pressed something and poof it sent me back a page and gone was my version of "The Things We Think and Do Not Say." I felt at that point I couldn't rewrite what I had so elequently put together.
I pretty much talked about how more than the information, the community was important about BP. It is one of the only thing that is consistent in a lot of our lives. It is always here, rain or shine. You could have job problems, girl problems, drug problems, a death in your family...whatever.. and your community is here for you. Some may poke fun, but it's more in that big brother kind of way. We have shared births, graduations and celebrations. We have all contributed some great stories, knowledge and friendship and it is exciting to see how we grow as one.
If you are on BP often and enjoy it as much as I do... it is the right thing to do and show appreciation for what we have allowed to be a part of. The best web based community in the world.

I think that by stepping up and donating, we can demonstrate that although we weren't around to help out when BP was still in diapers, and although we're not "in" with the elite, that we still are just as committed to making this the best fan community on the net.
So this challenge goes out to anyone who joined BP after the last Spring drive (people I'm calling "new members"). Assuming I can get one of the mods or admins to help me out, the challenge is this:
I will put up a 10:1 match to the site's vCash donation, from my own vFunds, to each of the first two new members to step up and donate $50 each, or the first new member who steps up and donates $100. So that means that you will get vCash both from the site (10,000 vBucks for every $1 you donate), plus another 5,000,000 vCash for the first two new members who donate $50 each or 10,000,000 vCash to the first new member to donate $100.
Go vBUCKS!

Appreciate the offer. Don't as of yet know what all the Vcash biz means, but it seems to be important around here...my most favorite of all sites, so I'll take it seriously...so to speak.
Glad to help, but I have to send my donation snail, sorry about that. I see where to send it, can't figure out, though, who or what I make the check out to.
I understand to include BP on the memo line...but how do I make the check out. Please advise me ASAP and consider it done, today. I'm on the west coast, so it's still early.

I will match shetuck's vDonations (only because I think the rules prevent me from having to give any vCash to Piney).

There are many nasty rumors about me circulating the Internet. This isn't one of them.
