Interesting Big 10 Draft observation
6 schools had a first day player chosen
2 two schools are tied with 2 players taken in the first day
Indiana and Michigan - Yes Indiana
6 out of the 8 players taken in day 1 were offensive
Comapared to the SEC
SEC had 8 players selected on day 1
5 players on Defense
3 Players on Offense
6 Players in round 1 compared to 4 in Big Ten

and next year ohio state may end up with as many as 5 first rounders by themselves.... i don't think you can take much from one draft

I'm still shocked that the Pats went after Shawn Crable in the 3rd round.
Both Davis from UCLA and Adibi from VT would've been better picks than that scUM player.
I think Crable is a skinny stiff who will get completely man handled in the NFL

^ I totally disagree. Crables worst enemy is himself. Hes a hell of a player but is out of control. If BB gets his hands on Crable he could be all-pro. The guy has all the tools except for the mental aspect. Both players mentioned re great but IMO Crable has a higher ceiling because he has major room to improve

He has all the tools? If he did he would've been a higher pick.
He's the typical tweener in that he doesn't have the raw speed to play cover from the outside. He certainly doesn't have the bulk to play down.
His week at the senior bowl showed him for what he is and why he ended up being a third round pick. I don't think he deserved that.
Show me many how many guys are in the NFL with kind of body? It doesn't work and never will. I think BB was is really reaching here.
Bruce Davis on the other hand is 6'3" and 240lbs. First team All Pac 10, 2nd team all American and a lightning quick first step. He's not a reach or the gamble that Crable is.
You aren't from Massillon are you?

I hate michigan with every fiber of my existence...I personally think Crable is a douchbag. So I'm not kissing his ass because I have some hidden respect for the guy. The guys a monster but doesn't play with smarts...hes out of control.
3rd round or not BB knows a hell of alot more than you or I about defense...the guys a mastermind. Crable was picked in the third round on potential...hes a gamble BB was willing to take because he knows if he can get crable to take his head out of his ass he will be dynamite.
Tweener or not he fits the system he plays in. Vrable is a tweener as well...turned out pretty damn well at LB, TE, or whatever other positions BB puts him at...
Versatlity...just like Vrabel
Piss and moan all you want but the guys could be all-pro...Scummer or not. Personally I think he has the most upside of any player Michigan had drafted this year. Jake Long got fucking manhandled by Gholston. I think Miami got a good OL but IMO hes the one that should have fell further in the draft.

I can't argue too much with your points. Especially the points concerning BB.
I do think Crable is a bit more of a Tweener than Vrable was as he's taller and leaner than Vrabel. Vrable was a converted DE and now weighs in at 260 plus . Not sure if Crable is even 240.
I think Gholston is much closer to Vrable in size. Gholston is just under 6'4" and weighs 260 lbs. The bodies of those two OSU players is nothing like Crables.
We'll see how it plays out. My money is on Davis being a much more successful LB than Crable.
