CB - Barnett CB - Brown CB - McGee (possible ATH) S - Wood S - Emilien S - Hunter or Banks What a DB class...especially if some guys leave early (Russell or Amos)... |

[quote=wadc45;1164195;]I've agreed with a lot of what you've said lately, but that is something I can't agree with...maybe you can get HotMic to back you on that one. I've seen both in person and while Brown may put on a better show at a combine, Barnett is head and shoulders above Brown (as a CB...in pads) in my book.[quote]
You have seen them in person.. so u probably know better than I do.. im going off the footage available.. and i see Corey Brown as an advanced technician as a CB.. He plays the ball extremely well.. knows when you sit down and play the underneath route (great adjustments on the fly).. and he does something that CJ really does not right now.. and that is come up and crush receivers.. The only thing he lacks is speed.. but he makes up for it right now with great instincts.. I dunno.. im just very impressed with what Ive seen and read about him.. his highlight reel is play after play of great ball skills (breakin up passes) combined with the ability to come up and deliver big hits.. He shutdown Logan Heastie at the 7 on 7 a month and a half ago.. and then he follows it up with winning MVP at the PSU camp at the CB position.. Regardless of who is better... getting two big corners with cover skills like Barnett and Brown would be very nice |

LOVE, LOVE LOVE this offer. I've been hoping this one would be going out, so i'm really happy. That said, I just can't put him over Barnett. For as big of a Brown pimp as I am, i'm an even bigger Barnett pimp. #1 player in Ohio IMO. Like I've been saying since the start though, this WILL be the top ranked DB class in the nation....no questions asked. |

I really like this offer. Brown looks great at the combines, I like his frame, and he has excellent ball skills. On top of that, he is versatile. No way Brown is better than Barnett imo but nontheless, he would/will be a great pickup for us.
However, I am very confused and for the same reason 40 mentioned. They have seen plenty of Brown and just now they offer? Right after Clarke? There are a TON of offers going out. However, this ensures us a 2nd pure corner, coming with likely a combo athlete in McGee. Beyond the confusion though, I really love this offer. |

Rivals $
5/16 More about picking up the Ohio State offer. Says Dorian Bell keeps asking him when he's going to commit. Notre Dame, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia and Tennessee have been in contact recently. |

Actually it should of said both...there is talk that Washington, Amos and Russell could all be looking at going pro if they have solid 2008s...way too early to be talking about that (and the wrong thread as well) but worth noting as to why the staff seem to be loading up on DBs.

You can be a CB first and foremost and still dabble in other spots. |
