Rose Bowl?

I may be wrong, but isn't the door open for the Bucks to play in the Rose Bowl?

With PSU undefeated and in the NC, that means the Rose would probably choose OSU to play, possibly against USC?

I know this is all blown to hell if we lose again or if PSU loses, but assuming the above happens, we're pretty much in, right?

I feel like I'm missing something major, I don't know why...we have one conference loss, the tiebreaker vs MSU...anyone want to comment on whether I'm totally missing something?

It's possible, it will depend on the BCS standings, whether one or more non-BCS teams crash the party in the top 12, and a host of other factors. A lot of bowls don't like to set up rematches (especially of blowouts) so that works against it, but there are a lot of factors working towards it if PSU keeps winning and USC doesn't get into the NC game.

For what it's worth, the Capital One Bowl will be Alabama, Georgia, Florida, or LSU...not a single easy draw there either.

ummmm you mean other than there are still 3 games to play and there might be some behind-the-door issues this team is having to deal with?!?

I think he just meant is it possible to still make the Rose Bowl if we win out.

Like I said though, the Cap One won't be any easier of a game, so if we win out, we got someone pretty good waitin' on us.

if psu wins out (hopefully) then we will get a bcs at large bid assuming we beat nw, illinois, and that state up north. i would like to see us play bama in the rose bowl, because i know that pollsters will not like to see us play sc again. if texas ends up losing, bama loses to lsu, and sc wins out then sc will most likely play psu in the ncg. we should have a pretty good chance at going out to pasedena, but who our opponent is, is the real question depending on the outcome of the rest of the season.

i havnt heard any talk about florida getting back into the picture. they looked good against kentucky, but then again, they are kentucky.

Florida is 8th in the BCS.

Next week, they play #6 UGA. #1 Texas plays #7 TxTech. They could move up to 6.

#4 OU has to play #7 TxTech & #9 OkState. The B12 south team left standing has to win their CCG.

Bama has to win @ LSU and win the CCG, possibly against Florida.

If Florida wins out, I think they leapfrog USC.

i still think that alabama will beat UF in their ccg. usc just somehow always gets into the title game picture because of their reputation. i seriously think we will play bama in the rose bowl.

I think it's most likely you go to the Fiesta Bowl. PSU and 'Bama winning out would put PSU in the Rose Bowl against USC because the pollsters won't want to reward the Big Ten in a tie between the SEC and Big Ten champs. Then the Fiesta takes a replacement Big 12 team, the Sugar picks a replacement SEC team (mainly for travel convenience in both cases) and the Fiesta then picks the best team left, which is the Buckeyes. Barring upsets, I'm thinking Ohio State-Oklahoma in the Fiesta.

For the Rose Bowl, you basically have to hope 'Bama loses and Penn State does not, so as to put Penn State in the title game. Or two Penn State losses and you guys win out.

the pollsters don't have [censored] to do with who goes to the non-NCG bowl games.

If Bama beats UF, then they're either going to the title game (orange) or the sugar bowl (SEC first place).

Exactly...which is why I stated in my original post that it is all blown to hell if we/PSU lose.
