Name of song I heard at the stadium today

Guys,

At the OSU vs. Michigan game today, I heard a song during the game that I was wondering about.

During Michigan 3rd downs, a bell would ring several times. At around the same time, a buckeye would be shown on the scoreboard going side to side, spitting out o-o-o-o's while a song would play. It is this o-o-o song that I am interested in. I swear I have heard the song before, but I can't figure out what it was.

Any help would be appreciated.

The bells are the introductory bells from Hells Bells by AC/DC. They do not play the whole song on 3rd downs, but if you get to the game early enough you can hear the whole song when the team comes out.

I thought that was Hells Bells - good to know. Do you know about the song that is played when the buckeye goes back and forth on the scoreboard spitting out o-o-o-o's?

Not sure, since I was watching from home today. But, I thought I heard "Seven Nation Army" at some point during The Game. You Tube "Seven Nation Army" and see if that's it.

They play it on kickoffs. Don't think they played anything other than Hells Bells on third down, though.

I think they do the O-spitting thing on kickoffs. So that's probably what it is.

Yeah, it was a bit of a shot in the dark (The O O O O O wasn't much help, lol)

Like you, I only hear the 3rd down bells... maybe a few of the opening guitar lines

Edit: missed your edit whilst responding.... maybe. Haven't been to the Shoe for a game since last year.

Yep, that's the one that OP is thinking of. The White Stripes "7 Nation Army"....yet another "tradition" that we borrowed from other stadiums...where the students go "oh, oh-oh-oh-oh" to the bass line during kickoffs.

At least we haven't resorted to completely ripping off Wisconsin's "Jump Around" yet (yes you Oklahoma)...although the Kriss Kross tune was pretty close today.

edit: I think the OP had the kickoff (7 Nation Army) mixed with the 3rd down (Hells Bells). Although I've been stuck in south stands all year and haven't gotten a glimpse of the scoreboard to verify.

"7 Nation Army" was the one. During the game there were no words, which made it pretty hard to describe.

7 Nation Army is Pettrey's kick off song, not really stolen from other stadiums when it'll only be played when he kicks off.

you've heard it before if you've ever been to a penn state game. they play it more than tennessee plays rocky top....and their dip[censored] fans chant along like baboons each time.
