You sure about that?

While we're at it you sure about that too?? Not saying Mays isnt a great athlete, but, isnt that faster than Bo Jackson, and Neon Deion Sanders? |

I live in Cali so I've heard these rumors on TM's mind-blowing stats. The forty time isn't accurate. He is one of the fastest players on the SC roster, and easily runs in the 4.3's but we all know that 4.22 isnt a legit combine 40 time. No one has ever run a 4.22 at the combine. |

I even doubt that. MAYBE 4.35-4.4. Yes, possible, but the whole 4.25, low/mid 4.3's are garbage. Pryor runs a 4.4, that sounds about right for the both of them.

You need to check the verticals from this years combine again. If Mays hits 41" it won't sniff the best vertical from 2008.

Dude I have friends who are diehard SC fans who say that the number is infatuated. They say that he is just as fast as guys like Travon Patterson and Joe McKnight, but the 4.22 is bull[censored]. He is a 4.3 guy, but he is not over 0.1 faster than Reggie Bush. The fastest official team recognized is 4.25 by Fabian Washington. It's like asking Buckeye fans if they really believe Joey Galloway ran a 4.19, or whatever the number was. Yeah we know he ran in the 4.2's, but that forty time shouldnt be judged on the same scale we measure the NFL draft 40 times. Hell I dont think Darrell Green ever ran an official 4.22 or better, and he is the fastest NFL player ever lol. The time was either on a fast track or done by hand which slightly skews the number. I agree he is super fast and a freak, but he isnt a 4.22 type freak. That's faster than official times for Devin Hester, Reggie Bush, Tedd Ginn, Darren McFadden, etc. |

less than a month to go. [SECfan]In other words, the OSU players better be no more than 40 yards away or they won't make it to the game in time [/SECfan]

I definately agree he is 4.33 fast, yes there are haters, but look on youtube at film of him. The perception is right when people say he doesn't look like he's moving very fast, but he definately is. One instance is the MSU game, when he took off down the sideline, you can really get a glimpse of his speed then, also the Minnesota game, and the Fiesta Bowl a couple times. His speed is deceptive, and his long stride helps him gain serious ground. Please people, keep hating and underestimate him, that way USC does as well, until he blows by Taylor Mays.
