Correct, Washington State won their Holiday Bowl game with Texas after the '03 season, and hasn't gone to a bowl since.
Next question coming right up. |

Duke, Baylor, and Northwestern haven't won a bowl game in quite some time. Among the 66 BCS teams, which other 3 teams haven't won a bowl game during the current millenium?

Correct. Indiana ('91 season), Stanford ('96 season), and Illinois ('99 season, but in December). Washington's last bowl win was after the '00 season, but it came on 1-1-01, so it came in this millienium even it you don't start counting that until 2001.

Twice in history, a tOSU team that was preseason AP #2 defeated the AP preseason #1 team sometime during that season. Give the year and the team for those #1 preseason teams that tOSU defeated.

Correct - In 1961, Iowa and tOSU started out #1-#2, and tOSU won 29-13 in Columbus (although tOSU was #5 and Iowa had dropped to #9). In '73, USC-tOSU started #1-#2, and in the Rose Bowl after that season #4 tOSU defeated #7 USC 42-21.
The contest will return next week. There are 3 weeks left this year - rules are in post #1, a list of those who've answered correctly is in post #2 of this thread. |
