Really, it's not.

Depth chart released on Rivals: Depth Chart

Interesting that Linsley, Hall, and Mewhort all broke the initial two deep, as well as walk-on Andrew Moses. Duron is also in the two deep above Small and Thomas, which somewhat surprises me. The only other surprise imo is walk-on Tony Jackson backing up Brian Rolle. I thought Klein would have been there, though I'm sure Sabino or Spitler could move back over there.

I was most suprised by Zach Boren at FB. I know JT mentioned him as a camp suprise, but he is now our #1 FB. Good job. Mewhort is going to be a star and Linsley is a mauler. Miller and Shugarts provide solid depth at tackle.

Semi in-depth look (offense)

I wanted to take some time to go position by position and add my thoughts...obviously i habe no inside information and am going mainly on reports I have read...so here goes with the offense...

QB - Terrelle Pryor. This is obviously going to be on of the main storylines of the year.

Main question(s) - The main question will clearly be how will TP handle the added pressure of this truly being his team? And will JT have enough faith in TP to open up the playbook?

Strengths - Every game he will make some amazing plays on pure talent. The fact that we have a true playmaker leading the offense will make for a very exciting season.

Weaknesses - He will make some mistakes that will leave us shaking our heads. He will miss some wide open throws or not see an open receiver.

RB - Boom Herron and Brandon Saine. With a little Jordan Hall and Jaamal Berry sprinkled in.

Main question(s) - Can we replace Beanie? It will obviously be a team effort. There is no way to replace everything Beanie can do, but will adding the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield add a much needed demention to the backfield?

Strengths -
Potential depth. Boom proved last year that he can effectively run between the tackles. Saine may be used in a multiple back set and should see a lot of touches catching the ball out of the backfield. It will also be interesting to see a true scat back in Hall or Berry as both have shown a ton of potential.

Weaknesses -
Youth and inexperience. Without Beanie we are clearly not as physical. Will we need to call on the freshmen to step up big? What happens if Boom and/or Zoom get injured?

FB - Zach Boren, Adam Homan, other walk-ons

Main question(s) - How will the inexperience at FB be handled this offseason? Will we see a lot of the I-Formation still? Do either of them have hte ability to catch the ball out of the backfield?

Strengths -
Size and potential.

Weaknesses -
Youth and inexperience. How will Zach Boren and Adam Homan handle their first live action?

TE - Jake Ballard and Jake Stoneburner

Main question(s) - Will this be the year we actually use the TE's?

Strengths - Ballard is an ideal blocking TE who has very soft hands and is extremely athletic (for his size). Stoney looks to be the future of the TE. He has both the size 6'5'' at 230 lbs with 4.5 speed. He could truly be the field stretching TE we have needed for a long time but will we use either of them?

Weaknesses - Playcalling and inujuries. The past 5+ years we have not incorporated the TE into our playcalling. Is that because we have not had TE's pan out and become worthy or some other reason. Also Stoney is rumored to be hurt which could seriously hurt his chances of making an impact this season.

OL - Miller, Boren, Brewster, Browning, Cordle, Shugarts, etc.

Main question(s) - Will Boren provide the spark needed to add a mean streak to the OL? Will the injury bug hurt us like it has in past years? How will the changing of positions be handled?

Strengths -
Interior line. Boren = STUD. He will be our best OL this year. Brewster manning the Center will be an all B10 player. I also believe that Browning will be much better at OG than last years performance at OT.

Weaknesses - How will the OT's handle themselves? Mike Adams still has some serious potential and I believe he will get thigns figured out by the end of the year. Shugarts will need to stay injury free and prove he deserves to be starting. Miller is unproven but I believe he can be effective. He is fairly athletic being a converted TE.

WR -
Posey, Sanzenbacher, Small, Carter, TWash, Flash

Main question - How will we replace the Brian's? Is Posey ready to step up and be a game changer? Will Small get out of the doghouse this year? Is TWash ready to prove that he is not just a spring game phenom?

Strengths - Potential, potential, potential. Posey is our next first round pick. Dane will catch everything thrown his way. I know this is a bold statement but this group has the potential to truly be something special.

Weaknesses -
Unproven. This certainly goes without saying but this group will have a lot to prove. Is Carter moving up the depth chart because he is just that special or because the older guys aren't that good? Will Flash learn to run routes and not just run fast (Teddy Ginn syndrome but not as fast). Will we finally have true playmakers at the WR position that can score when their name is called?

So, I can only assume you do not know how to use the "sarcasm" font, correct?
