Obviously Guiton because if we use the correct offensive package for Miller, Guiton can also run it.

All joking aside, it's got to be pretty demoralizing for Taylor Graham and Ken Guiton to have to watch what occurred Saturday night. We've got some big problems on offense, and I wish I could say they'd go away with more practice. But I can't say that.

Even if the AD flat out told him Bollman had to stay this year LF could have worked himself, another offensive coach or anyone else into the mix and lessened the damage. Its one thing being forced to keep Bollman, its another to hand him the keys and walk out the door. Giving Bollman carte blanche with the offense was Fickell's call and will be Fickell's demise. As I said in the other thread, anyone who's judgement is so poor as to think giving Jim Bollman total control of the offense is a good idea shouldn't be the head coach at OSU anyway. I don't really feel bad for Fickell, my only concern is the same people who "developed" Bauserman into the 5th year SR QB he is today are already at work on Miller and Graham. Its probably already too late for Guiton. |

A head coach with a defensive mind and background absolutely must have an OC whom he can trust to make the proper decisions on personnel, gameplan, etc. The schemes need to mesh...
However, the HC ALWAYS has absolute veto power in decisions he sees as unfit. Right now, Coach Fick is playing with the hand he has been dealt. I don't see numerous offensive coaches being hired if Fick was able to choose his own staff...

I'm going to write Coach Fickell an email and suggest he put the names "Guiton," "Graham," "Miller" and "Siems" in a hat and draw out a slip to determine who starts against Colorado.
