Would you rather that they cancelled the game or contined to neglect the concrete on our historic stadium?

I do agree that any student that wants to go should be given some type of provision for going. Maybe bussing from campus? Free tickets maybe still if the students can get there and show I.D.? I dunno. I don't think there is any problem whatsoever in any part of Ohio for the Ohio State "brand". Coach Coombs brings his connections to Cincinnati and although they are still big ND supporters and divide up the rest with other schools, OSU included, I don't think there is anything necessarily wrong with the brand. I also agree that northern Ohio is far more "Buckeye country" than any other part aside from Columbus.
Its nice for the players, who are also students let's not forget, to get to play in a pro stadium. Not that many of them will get to go on to the NFL after school regardless of what most of us want for them. Paul Brown is a far better stadium than Cleveland and the Cincinnati exposure is just a bonus. Renovations to the 'Shoe are most necessary to keep it the best place in the country to watch a football game.

Is Hang on Sloopy done between the 3rd & 4th Qtr's at Paul Brown on Sunday's? It is in Cleveland and I can't think of anytime I've been out and about and 'not' seen Pro-OSU stuff. |

Renovations...how did I miss that. I will bite my tongue now. Still sucks they can't have it in the 'Shoe though. And I will just say from living in SW Ohio, I've never seen any deficiencies with OSU fandom. However, I frequently see scUM gear up around Toledo and plenty of ND fans from the Catholic schools. Always seems we struggle with recruits not from Cleveland as well.

Sorry, but have to flat out disagree with your statement! Cincinnati has become less and less buckeye friendly since Brian Kelly gave UC a little exposure. U hardly even see osu gear downtown or around the entire city. That's a big difference the more north u get in Ohio. Think of how many good players from the cincy area spurned osu for somewhere else. Cincinnati was hardly recruited by tressell and the kids in HS and their coaches remember that. U must not have been in the sw Ohio recently then, because osu is not revered in cincy like it is in the northern parts of Ohio. This is a very good idea to put the kids in a pro stadium. I'm sorry that the students will have a more difficult time, but let's stop being naive and thinking that students really matter that much as fans to the coaches and trustees. Urban wants to make inroads in the sw Ohio area, get the best kids from going to ND and other schools and strengthen your recruiting in the entire state, win more conference championships and NCs and make more money for the college. If the students were more important to the ncaa and school trustees, then bowl games wouldn't be played so far away in neutral sites.
