petersons influence has been seen the past two weeks....
trust me....jt's eyes opened after iowa....
jt is stubborn, but not stupid....look at the new focus on offense since iowa.....in no particular order....
rehring, barton, smith, pittman, johnson (huge), lyons and ginn.......thats seven players on offense that hadnt played "much" before iowa....
jt also brought in an nfl coach for guidance and turned a great deal of the o-line over to peterson.....

Is this your thoughts, or do you know this for fact?

-someone i would bet my life on mentioned the change in offensive line philosophy after the iowa game.....and how effective it was.....ie peterson
-look at the change in personnel since the iowa game....do you think johnson is playing fb b/c joe is hurt....do you think pittman suddenly stepped up...do you think rehring and barton suddenly stepped it up....'
-and...do you think jt and bollman suddenly decided sims is a guard..???
i believe that the coaches finally looked at a different opinion......peterson....

Well back to the threads original topic. Steve Rhearing is one hell of a kid as well as player. I watched his recruitment close last year. He was the least heralded and skinner was very underrated as well. Hopefully we have found ourselves another all-american. I hope this kid continues to progress. Good luck steve!!!!!

Great post! I have seen that too and I hope it means Bollman takes a back seat to the Offensive line forever, and that Peterson is there to stay!! They just seem more aggressive these past two weeks.
Got another question Dihard ... Do you think that there needs to be a shake up at the Strength and Conditioning department? I am by no means an expert but it just seems that since the last S&C coach left (forget his name and its on the tip of my tongue damnit) that the Offensive line has not been blowing people off the line of scrimmage. The S&C coaches also have almost all year to be in contact with the Players as opposed to the restrictions on the other coaches, thus they can have alot of influence too. Just a thought...
P.s. Brutus2002, I too think Rehring is doing great and I cannot wait to see Mitchum, Person, Skinner, and then in this '05 class; Boone, Bemoll, Cordle, and possibly Taz or Doering at the line when Peterson takes over full reigns of the Offensive line.
