Stupid line by Peter King
Uh, maybe the "senior" cupboard is bare. I guess that happens when you have 14 of them leave in one year. Moron.
2b. I hear from a veteran college scout that the cupboards are bare at Ohio State and Penn State. "This looks like it could be the first year, maybe ever, that there's not a single first-day draft choice from Ohio State or Penn State," the scout said. "That is absolutely unbelievable to me.'' |

They all lay eggs every once in a while. He's still not as bad as Stew Mandel.

What a dumbass...
1. We only had 2 seniors starting against Purdue. 2. Hawk would be a first-day pick if he left early, which he isn't. Holmes probably as well. 3. The Nuge is a lock to go in the first three rounds. Probably mid-late second, no later than mid third. |

Who are our senior captains?
Ross? um next Frasier? probably round 5-6 Fox? Depends on if he is classified CB or S. My guess, 3 maybe 4 Nugent? Kaedling from Iowa was drafted I think in round 3 last year and has been completely worth it. I think Nugent goes similarly. |

Is this the same Peter King that wrote last week that the '04 Pittsburgh Steelers are the best team in 20 years and better than the Steel Curtain 70's teams??
He's a real reputable source. And besides, Mr. Perfect will be a first day selection. |

And Sloopy you know that tilt for the Steelers doesn't acount for them winning against a Dillon-light version of the Patriots.
The Steelers are good this year - but they are arguably not even the best pro team, let alone better than the Steel Curtain. |

Um, I'm not a fan of either. I'm actually a Bears fan (who, like the Steelers, have an unbeaten rookie QB from the state of Ohio that you might gave heard of). But, I give the Steelers credit, no matter who was on the field for the Pats. I'm not a big fan of excuses. My only point is that King's statement was stupid. Every Super Bowl winner pre-Free Agenct is way, way better than any of the watered down teams nowadays. The NFL crowns "the best of the worst" team instead of "the best of the best" team, like it used to be. Another one of 1,000 reasons why the college game is much better and the NFL is unwatchable. I do have to admit, however, that I have been getting into the Pros lately with Captain Craig at the helm for the Bears. I never thought I'd hear, "He's a Molecular Genetics major with a 3.7 GPA, and aspirations to be a doctor someday," from an announcer ever again, but here I am, with # 16 at the helm and more juice for the Bears and the NFL than I've had in many years. |
