Geiger said that ESPN(the same people running the smear campaign) called him to tell him that they were still thinking about coming to Ohio State for "The Game".. it was in his press release that day, according to the Columbus Dispatch he told them "No, Thank You". |

DiHard...I had a similar incident several years ago while on business to SLC. Went to upscale restaurant for week night dinner w/business friend. Asked for a glass of wine. Got dinner served. Asked for our glass of wine. It became comical after the 3rd request halfway through dinner. We finally got the restaurant manager to table and challenged him to serve us our wine or we'd leave the dining room and our unfinished meals. With some reluctance 2 small glasses of wine were served. At first it was comical, but after awhile we did get a little [censored]ed. Man, I'll tell ya, if those folks took over you might get a lot of sex, but forget about earthly spirits.
Actually, a lot of sex isn't too bad come to think of it.

many SLC restaurants let you go in packing your own booze - in a brown paper. Its kind of like a walk back in time to Prohibition. A quaint and ultimately futile attempt to curb the urge to drink - in a town that will otherwise drive you to guzzle.
There are also the clubs where you get a "lifetime membership" for say $20, first few drinks are "free" then you order what you want.
Utah is a museum of the absurd. A Business associate once told me that for all the laws limiting alcohol sales Utah has a higher than expected rate of alcoholism.
