In truth, as bad as it was to see Small get concussed, the player who was risking injury to a greater extent was Dominic Jones. Head down is exactly what the locker-room placards preach against doing.

The player that delivered the hit, was Dominic Jones. A player from Brookhaven HS here in Columbus. He was on their state title team in 2004 as a senior.

The hit really looked clean to me. There was some helmet-to-helmet, but Dominic Jones didn't appear to go out of his way to make it helmet-to-helmet.
