I roomed with a player my sophomore year and he always drank a huge myoplex shake when he got home from practice..then absolutely KILLED the bathroom! LOL! And they do eat pretty good at the training tables. I'm pretty good friends with Troy and the guy has always been pretty jacked since I've known him. No surprise he's on the S&C staff. I need to put him on my payroll when I hit the lottery. The biggest part of getting in shape, putting on muscle, and keeping it is your diet. Eat several small-medium meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism up, triple your daily protein intake, a serious cardio routine, and reduce sugar in your diet. Sounds easy but becomes quite cumbersome once you start making babies. Trust me.

A good way to burn fat, but large amounts of cardio isn't what you want to do to gain serious weight. I'm just splitting hairs though, its the off-season... ![]() |

I was just referring to getting in shape. But to gain weight/muscle mass? Then no, you wouldn't want a ton of cardio catabolizing all of your gains in the weightroom. Though not cutting on carbs could help maintain gains if your gonna have a hardcore cardio routine.

But, if you combined lightweight training with your cardio (meaning agility routines, running etc etc w/ additional weight) it becomes very, very effective.
I use this myself most often because its a good time saver, and its great for developing lean muscle. |
