All the Projections Fit to Print
It really is one of the closest and hardest-to-call Heisman Trophy races that we've ever seen.
Here's a rundown of all the various projections out there.
HeismanProjection.com: Matt Leinart
ESPN Experts Poll: Matt Leinart
The Oklahoman: Matt Leinart
Orlando Sentinel: Adrian Peterson
MSNBC Media Picks: Reggie Bush
Scripps-Howard Heisman Poll: Jason White
We'll find out tonight.

True Soul, but that shouldn't be an issue. It should go to Bush because he's the flat-out most talented player of the bunch this year.
But yeah, Faulk didn't win one either and he did okay. He was robbed too if ya remember. Guess that's what he gets for going to San Diego State.

I think Leinart, White, Peterson, Smith, and LeFors could have all made strong cases that they deserved it this season.
It should be an interesting battle between Peterson and Bush next season--hopefully Teddy will have something to say about it.

Our best hopes for Teddy winning the Heisman next year are: that he not get pigeon-holed in the media as strictly a punt returner, that he develops into a Jerry Rice style receiver; and that Peterson gets dinged and misses a few big games.
I think Peterson is the odds-on favorite to win it next year at this point. There's already a little backlash brewing that he should have won it this year. With Stoops at the helm, the Sooners are going to be a year-in year-out power and Adrian will get a ton of national attention as long as he's in Norman. He'll be there two more years and could win Heismans both years unless he's slowed by injury.
