I would imagine that their argument will be that it is harder to maintain a 3.0 gpa at those schools. I'm not saying that it is true, but that will be their argument.

It looks like you gotta have a real major to qualify for this recognition. So much for the allegation that all Ohio State players all take basket weaving. 20% of the team carries a 3.0 GPA. That's impressive. Damn, I wish the world could know about this. I hope the NCAA mentions it prominently when they very thoroughly praise Ohio State for their efforts at remaining at the forefront of college football in compliance.

Two general studies, one undeclared and one political science? Whew, their brains must hurt from all of the studying.

Oh, and don't forget about our tutors.

Well done Buckeyes!
I, in no way want to take away from the accomplishments of our Bucks, but I have to respond to this.
Couple of things....
1. When I was growing up, I went to a Public school in the city where I was pretty much a "C" student. My family moved to the country just before my Senior year, and all of a sudden I was an "A" student and could have been considered Honors material if they went only by one's GPA. The tougher the school is academically, the harder it would be for a player to excell. (again, if the criteria is simply GPA)
2. If the criteria were simply GPA, then you would be more likely to have a high GPA if you took easier classes such as a class on coaching.

Again, I am only responding to the quote...there are problems with the statement. I am extremely proud of our guys.
