As is being stated here, the reliability of these times is highly questionable. I was merely posting what they were reporting his 40-yard dash time at. Clearly haw was reported running a 4.21 (which probably wasn't totally accurate), so its not really a stretch to see them inaccurately time galloway at 4.19.
I was merely posting who has posted the fastest time. But it probably was biased or mistimed.
I would still say Ginn's faster even if Galloway did run a 4.19 without fudging the clock.

I understand that BFS, but when you stated, it was as a fact, not with the cavets brought up later. I just don't see the need to continually enforce these outrageous times.

Sorry I'll go back and rephrase it. I guess I just meant from the only thing we have to go by, Galloway wins. Plus track times are simply that, track times. That's why I'd take Ginn on my team. But I see how I wasn't clear. My bad.

I don't like the whole 40 yard time measurement. Suit them up in full pads and start at one goal line to the other. Ginn by 3 yards over anybody.

the 40 yd dash needs to be standardized. here's how they should do it.
- it must be indoors (this removes the wind factor)
- it must be run on turf
- the player must be wearing his full uniform, including helmet
- the player lines up in the 3 point stance
- the timing MUST BE AUTOMATIC. hand times are not official.
- it must be filmed
- the location where the dash took place must be noted (some turfs are faster than others)
you could also have a B version in which the athlete runs wearing only a pair of shorts.
