These are the All-American Bowl combine results. Lambert beat Ginn in the 10 yd dash (manual only, Ginn got him using F.A.T.) and the Pro Agility Run. Lambert is a very good athlete, but I think that these results show that Ginn is the faster of the two.

I must be misreading this. Ginn ran a 4.79 40 in the F.A.T? Not sure what that means. Is that meters v. yards?

F.A.T. = Fully Automated (or automatic) Timing, and it was the 40 yard dash. Ginn's 4.79 was the fastest time of all of the All-Americans participating, as was his 4.4 manually clocked time.

I looked over ALL the results, not one of them came close to matching Russel's 39 inch jump.

There are certain kinds of speed, and it is rather rare when someone has all of them. I term speed in many different categories, there is fast, quick, agile, and smooth. Ted Ginn could be described by all of these words, I have a hard time thinking of anyone that I could compare him to, the only one that quickly comes to mind is Tim Brown back in the day. Desmond Howard was a great athlete but wasn't very fast. Joey Galloway was ultra fast, and quick, but had shorter strides. Robert Smith was also very fast, but didn't have that 6th gear that Ginn has.
I think that if you roll up all of these guys into one body and slap a Buckeye helmet on him, you have Ted Ginn.

I will say this one more time so everyone understands. Ginn is a long strider. He doesn't look that fast if you are watching him from the ground on a side view. If you watch him from a elevated view he will look a hell of alot faster. When he is running with(most of the time past) another runner(player) thats when you can fully appreciate his speed.
I have seen Joey Galloway play football live several times when he played with the SeaHawks. I have seen Ted Ginn play live several times.
Are the close to the same speed? Yes Is Ginn faster? Yes Does Ginn have better agility because he is a hurdler? Yes
Remember Ginn is only 18 years old. He will only get faster. I'm not taking anything away from Joey Galloway because hes one hell of an athlete but Ginn is "very rare" maybe "once in a lifetime" for a coach.

I'll put an end to this. Attached is the clip I made of Ginn's TD slant pass against MSU. Note how Ginn totally blows away #31 Jaren Hayes, who supposedly has run a 4.32 40 per The Enlightened Spartan (note Hayes was recruited as a running back and moved to defense before the start of the 2004 season).
Ginn TD Pass vs. MSU
Make sure you "right-click and save" the Ginn clip vice simply clicking the link. For some reason only half the clip downloads if you try to access it directly.

That was sweet, Mili. Thanks a bunch.
Anyone who thinks they've got someone on their team who can match TG Jr. is in for a big surprise. He is truly 'once-in-a-lifetime' good.

I say 5 yards at least.

What about Deion Sanders in his prime. Some say still has that speed.
