Last 5 times we've played the B12
Its been ugly...
1998 Mizzou W 35-14 1998 T A&M W 24-14 2002 TTech W 45-21 2003 KSU W 35-28 2004 OSU W 33-7 Total: 5-0 Score: 172-84 Avg Score: 34.4-16.8 None of these games were even close. We were bigger, stronger, faster and more physical than every single one of them. Also, we haven't lost to a team from what is now the B12 since the 1977 Oklahoma game. As much as the media like to play up the SEC having the B10's number, I wish they would be fair and talk about how the B10 has owned the B12. |

Couldn't have said it better myself. If only we could have beat Michigan last year...needless to say I would have killed to see us destroy Oklahoma.
Also, thats why I'm rooting for a Michigan win, it brings more credibility to the Big 10. Also, Texas losing to Michigan, and then us next year would be hilarious. On a side note, two of my friends who go to Michigan that were at my house to watch the Alamo Bowl left early for reasons unknown. Maybe they were starting to get worried about THE game next year... |

R0CK3TM4NN, did you just admit to rooting for Michigan against Texas?? Is that not a sin for you guys?? I don't care about the conference, I don't care about the state of Oklahoma, I will NOT be rooting for ou against USC! GO TROJANS!!

Maybe things are different for you guys.
Big10 folks tend to stick together. Many choose to root against M*ch*g*n's opponent. I personally can root for them in bowl games. It's all about supporting the Big10 which plays tough defense ontop of everything else. USC flash gets tons of praise, as well as crappy Texas and OU who are "dominators" despite giving up 30-40 pts all the time. It's pretty much about respect. A very, very large percentage of our fanbase would either fall in the "i don't care about the game" or the "GO TROJANS" camps. Can't stand ou with one ounce of my body.

The Big 12 has turned into the "Big 2 and little 10". Does that sound familiar? After Oklahoma and Texas there is a big drop off to the next group of teams in the Big 12.

The rivalry has a lot of meaning here, and I think you'll meet two camps: those that hate Michigan with every ounce of blood in their body, and those that have the utmost respect for the school up north. But when that day comes on the 3rd week of November, everything changes. Don't get me wrong, my blood boils every time I hear "The Victor" being played for some reason for another. My Michigan friend invited me over for the Rose Bowl. I'll just have to stay quiet if they start losing it. |

I'll be rooting for the Michigan rodents. A UM win over TX gives the Big-10 credibility ... which never hurts. I want to dominate an 11-0 UM team every year, not an 0-11 UM team. If UM isn't any good, what's the point of them being our rival? We might as well celebrate beating Indiana.
