Underneath that 'Baby Huey' build and baby face, I was was pleasantly suprised when Browning got to the bench table. He had no problems pushing those plates up quite a few reps. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportuity to see him perform in other drills but there was a buzz about in the camp about him. We shall see what, if anything materializes....

Thats the difference between Coach Ginn and most coaches. If you have skills you need to flaunt them. Thats why hes parading Glenville around the country. Hes exposing his young men to different places and coaches. The offers are flowing for the Glenville boys. The options are plentiful for his players and they don't have to settle for a lesser program.

I'm sure he has told some of his guys that OSU cannot offer all of them. Some of these guys will end up in the B10. The boys know that if they want to be a Buckeye they need to have a great performance at Camp. Obviously Glenville players shined.

Glenville is becoming a national name. If a coach in the B10 has never heard of Glenville they are not working hard enough in recruiting. Glenville doesn't need an introduction because they have already arrived and everybody knows they are one of the best H.S. programs in the country as far as talent is concerned.

I wish Bryant the best and hope he gets an offer. I want the Glenville pipeline to flow.

For many months now, analysts and observers have been talking about Ohio's class of offensive linemen in 2006 and how it is among the best group at one position that many have seen in years.

The Buckeyes remain in good standing with both Brown and Smith, but Boren has been committed to Michigan for nearly two months, and OSU still has not offered any more in-state linemen.

One player who is hoping he could be next on the list is Bryant Browning of Cleveland Glenville, who camped at OSU this past weekend and feels he did nothing to lower his standing.

"They're still recruiting me," Browning said of the Buckeyes. "I'm hoping for an offer sometime this year, that in these coming up months they might offer me."

That seems to be a reasonable expectation, considering Glenville's well-publicized connections with OSU and Browning's considerable talents. Standing 6-4 and 339 pounds, Browning already holds offers from such schools as Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Northwestern and Indiana.

He recently participated in the Ted Ginn Sr.-organized bus trip that took Cleveland-area prospects on a tour to 10 football camps in less than two weeks and said that OSU's camp stood out among the many he visited.

"It was like the top one," Browning said. "I really learned a lot for offensive linemen. Some of the camps I went to I knew most of the stuff they were going over, but at Ohio State I learned a couple of new things."

In particular, Browning got some tips on his footwork.

"My kick-slide, I was kind of opening up the door on my backside, as they say," said Ohio's No. 15 overall player. "I learned how to keep my foot up so it was easier to keep the guy in front of me."

The downside to going on the extended trip was that by the time the bus rolled into OSU, Browning's legs were dead and he timed in the 40-yard dash at 5.7 seconds, down significantly from his best time of 5.4.

But outside of running, Browning thought his performance was up to par.

"I thought I performed pretty well in the one-on-ones," he said. "I thought I did pretty good in them. From the coaches, I learned some things in pass blocking that I can really go on with in this year."

While at Ohio State, Browning spoke at length with offensive coordinator and line coach Jim Bollman, along with defensive coordinator Tim Beckman, the newest member of the staff and one who figures to do a great deal of work recruiting in the Cleveland area.

Browning also spoke with recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach John Peterson, and the offensive lineman is willing to wait around and see whether the Buckeyes eventually come calling for his services.

"I really don't want to commit early, until maybe the end of my senior year," Browning said. "I'm still keeping all my options open."

Just wondering--- based on what? Sounds more like a kid waiting on an offer from OSU (which I think he would accept quickly) rather than a silent verbal.

Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Northwestern and Ohio State are his favorites. OSU has not offered. He will take some visits before making a decision.

From Bucknuts...Bryant has offers from Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Boston College, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Cincinnati, Miami (OH), Ball State and Eastern Michigan. He is hoping for an offer from OSU. He has a lot of great things to say about Coach Ginn.

Browning now has 13 offers. He is looking at Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, Indiana, Boston College, Michigan State, and Illinois. Bryant is looking at OSU, they have not offered.

With some of the best players in the state of Ohio on one team, Glenville is a favorite, once again, to make it deep into the playoffs this year. Robert Rose, Ray Small, Bryant Browning and Royce Adams are just a few big names that should not only help the cause this season but they will all likely be on a Big Ten roster at this time a year from now. Glenville has had 7 players receive scholarships to Ohio State in the past four years and could add at least a couple more this year.

Ohio State, Northwestern, Boston College, Indiana, West Virginia, Wisconsin are the schools he is still looking at. He is no longer considering Iowa. Browning talked to several coaches on Saturday, he says OSU is still evaluating him.
