considering that ticket buyers can pick up their tickets right up until gametime at the stadium, I doubt they can sell them before then.

I'll probably try this for the USC games for tickets.

Thanks to Padraig and other posters for posting all this useful info. I had no idea that one could purchase tickets like this. Great info. Only a few more months before our Buckeyes take the field again. Hopefully I can score some tickets this year. GO BUCKS!

The ticket prices will be much lower this year, at least initially. If they get to the Big Ten unbeaten..........then things could change.

New to the Planet....thanks for the info
I am new to the planet and enjoyed reading this thread. I am coming up from Georgia for the Northwestern game and looking for the best way to get tickets. Ebay starts around $120 and goes up from there. Ticket outlets are about the same and higher. Reading this thread gives me enough confidence to make the 9 hour trip without tickets and give the gameday sales at the Schott a chance. If I'm not successful, I'm sure the scalpers will accomodate me. Either way I appreciate the reading and will continue to track this thread in the future as gameday approaches.
Thanks for all the great info!!! Go Bucks!! |

Well, having never been to a game, even though I was there from '96-'99
, I am definitely doing this for the games that the Big Ten Network is going to steal from us. I'd rather sit in the stands with my pretty lady for $120 than get fawked out of my birthright by greedy higher-ups. |

How early would I have to arrive to the Schott for 2 tickets to the Akron game? (Any idea? Like 8am or like 10am?)

The 2 times I did it last year, I was in line no later than 6:45 and was no closer than 50th in line. The wait is long and the line is full of ticket scalpers who will buy the max number allowed, all while paying other people to buy any extra tickets for them. If you waity til 8 I would say you very well may wait in line for nothing. Both times I got tickets the people at the back of the line were told to leave because they didn't have enough to cover demand. For the Penn State game which was quite wet, I was 43rd in line and only managed 2 of the 4 tickets I wanted due to everyone infront of me buying 4 until they moved the limit to 2. So I would suggest 7 am at the latest if you really want tickets.
