The only time I was there when it happened, the officials from the ticket office handed out bracelets then said that there weren't any tickets being released. When no one moved for like an hour and a half after that with repeated times of telling the line no tix, they called university police to disperse the line. They can't take anyone away or anything(public area) but they scare people away. It was the line for scUM vs OSU 1 vs 2. I still think the line will be a bit closer to the Texas 05 line and not a scUM or PSU game IMO.

Im here at the schott doing some investigating slash possible set up for the night. sign here says no tickets to be released. has anyone got tickets when a sign like that is up???

I would tend to believe the sign. I'll take my chances with Ticketmaster. If I can't get it done there, I will not be able to go.

update from the schott.... i overheard a couple of scalpers that stopped by an hour or so ago..one set up a spot...say to each other that the USC tickets can not have been released yet....so the sign was correct as of close of window friday night...im still here and gonna sleep it out....worst case..i dont get a set from the window... but i spent the night on some of the most hallowed ground in the world overlooking the battlefield and gonna have an enjoyable sleep in my sanctuary's shadow. and i know the second guy in line has a ton of tix on him so you could always try to work a deal while here. im the first in line so if you come high five a fellow bp'er.

I drove down there and circled the place 3 teams. i couldn't find a place to park where i wouldn't be afraid my car would get towed. I also only saw one person standing there.... I elected to just go home. But that's me. Seems im not meant to be there. Let me know if you get tickets. Good luck.

LOL. I did the same thing. Even had a lawn chair and boom box with me to play some Buckeye tunes. I talked to an Ohio State parking attendant while I was down there and asked him if there was anyplace to park. He told me there was no place that I could park where I would not be towed. He assured me there would be a sweep of the parking lots in the early morning hours to clear the lots of all vehicles that were not permitted to be there. It's a good thing you didn't chance it.

It's funny that I want to go to this game so badly that I was willing to wait all night in a line. If I would have been able to find a spot within a mile of The Shott, I would have been in line right now. I guess I just wasn't meant to attend this game which is very disappointing.

gcbuck i also drove by there an hour ago not knowing where to park at.. does any 1 know a safe place where i wont get towed?

about 20 people here... i parked in the shopping center on ackerman and walked. people are optomistic...but wouldn't you be if you were planning to wait.
