Scalping Tip
For those of us who are "financially challenged" the lesser games are good to try to scalp tickets for. I waited until 5 minutes before kickoff yesterday and was able to score a pair in 28C for $20. Sometimes there are people giving tickets away! I saw this happening for the Troy game. This isn't the first time I have done this. You just have to be patient (wait until the last minute) and hang out near the Jessie Owens Memorial. This doesn't really work for big games, but for the lesser games it works well.

It's always been like that. And even for bigger games, Michigan aside, you can get tickets a little after kickoff for about face.

a few years ago I scored a $10 ticket to the NC State - OSU game about a minute after the game started, 3 over times and 1 win later I was very happy with my purchase.
Also got a $75 ticket a minute after the game started a few years ago for the Fiesta Bowl when the Bucks beat Notre Dame.

If he needs tickets, he should just look in his left hand.

That is rule #1 when scalping for cheap. Wait until the game started and act halfway interested. The guy would rather take half of your $ home than an un-used ticket.

This is great advice, but I see one problem with it. That is, the numbers on the bleachers are so close to one another, that your seats are sure to be taken up by the time you arrive at your seats in the stadium. Anyone run into this problem, and if so, what did you do about it?

If someone is in your seat, they have to move. If they don't, get an usher and they will move them for you. If it appears so crowded that there isn't room for you in your own seat, then they will find out who is there that isn't supposed to be.
Depending on the area that you get tickets, it's getting easier and easier to stay in your "seat" / at your number on the bleacher. Several season ticket holder spend extra cash to have a cushion seat-back installed at there seat for the season. This is not only obviously more comfortable, but it also stakes out their seat with little question whether someone else is taking up part (or all) of their spot. This also helps separate the other seats in those rows with seat-backs...the more seat-backs that are in a section, the more defined everyones seat in that section is.
