No it doesn't. I was told by the ticket office that they were saving some for incoming freshman. Similar to how they saved Block O north tickets primarily for Freshmen.

Edit: Apparently someone on the Scout.com forums called the ticket office and found out that there were 8,000 student tickets allotted for USC. Scout.com: Helpin fellow students Let me repeat that. EIGHT THOUSAND. Versus 30,000 for all of the other games. Oh, and if you guys think you got screwed - listen to this. Nobody in the med school even GOT the ticket email with the password. As of 10:49 tonight, they STILL hadn't gotten it. Little oops. Last edited by BuckeyeDVM2010; 04-01-2009 at 10:51 PM. Reason: new info |

I can understand that having a big game like that can create a bit of a supply problem, since they usually use those games for a greater volume of the alumni single game packages. This game created a higher demand from the student side then what you usually get for these preseason games, so they had to do this to keep alumni from getting left out in the cold. Still a total kick in the ass for those that can't go. I wonder if they did reserve some for freshmen/transfer students how many they have left for there sale and if that number is out of the 8,000 or if it's an additional amount? |

That's complete crap. No way should you limit the student tickets to a big game. If they're going to set aside 30k student tickets for the other games, they need to set aside that many for USC.
What are they gonna do when the university is on semesters and the students are all on campus before the season starts? Probably screw the students again. |

Just called ticket master and got my refund for purchasing the upgraded tickets. It is pretty painless other than waiting on hold for awhile. I would highly recommend everyone do it unless you meant to purchase the upgraded tickets.

Same experience. At least their customer service was efficient.

Also, here's a link to student ticket information.
What I find most interesting is that they seem to have done a pretty good job creating a continuous 'student section' in both end zones. There is a chart in that link but I made my own anyways so I could post it here, student seating is in the dark red/brown. |

I checked my order history on Ticketmaster, and my season ticket package had automatically been reduced in price from $330 to $160. So, 2 things: 1-You apparently don't need to call to get the student rate. 2-If you DID mean to purchase an upgraded season ticket, you might need to call Ticketmaster and confirm this, or your upgrade request might be dropped. |

I believe tosu should deny students the option to upgrade tickets. This would at least lower the amount of people that buy tickets with the mindset of selling them and probably not even watching the game on tv. These people [censored] me off. The tickets need to go to the students that love to watch osu football.

So student tickets can be sold to the public if they are the upgraded ones? Are there any students on here that would like to do me a huge favor? My little brother and I are looking for some tickets to a Big Ten game this year. If anyone has two that they would like to sell I would greatly appreciate it! Keep in my mind that we are both students as well and don't want to have to pay a ton on a ticket!
