The first time I took the ACT, I got a 21 and got a 26 the second time I took it. Of course, it was late 2001/early 2002 when I took it, so maybe the auto flag thing wasn't in use back then.

Kind of makes you wonder about Meyer's approach when he steals recruits away from other schools.

Any proof beyond that contained in your hasty statement? Thought not.

Many things happen in the world of college football that none of us will ever be aware of, but it seems highly unlikely to me that Meyer would involve himself in what amounts to high school behavior. I have seen a comparison to the rumors of what happened with Fulmer and Alabama. Big difference, Fulmer ratted out Alabama to save his own program from alleged violations that were occuring at Tennessee. Urban and UF are under no investigation by the NCAA, Tennessee had the NCAA camped out on their camous during the alleged Fulmer rat job.
Meyer may or may not have said some things after the Cap. One Bowl that if true may have been a poor choice of words, but I think he runs as clean a program as most anyone in the country. He has had no major violations at any of his head coaching positions and for the most part is liked by his past players.
My other feeling on this is IF and it's a big if the UF compliance dept. became aware of his ACT scores, which is a requirement under NCAA Bylaws for a visiting recruit (posted the exact rule in a different thread), they would, in my opinion, have an obligation as an institute of higher learning to at least make the proper people aware of the questionable scores.
I just don't see anything done wrong here on Urban or the University's part. The real story is not why the administrators at the ACT came to question these scores, but what did this athlete do to raise these questions about his scores. And why is he trying so hard to deflect the attention from him?

Urban Meyer: Cleared of improper contact with a recruit -- OrlandoSentinel.com
Quote:
GAINESVILLE - Florida Coach Urban Meyer said UF's University Athletic Association has cleared him of any improper communication with recent football recruit Carl Moore and his girlfriend, Florida gymnast Maranda Smith.
Meyer said he met last week with Jamie McCloskey, UF's senior associate athletics director for compliance. The coach emerged from that meeting thinking he had committed no NCAA recruiting violations.
"No problems with that," Meyer said. "We're fine."

Before someone asks the inevitable question, if she is hot or not, here is his girlfriend

Not bad. Gotta say when I was in Arizona and Atlanta last year I wasn't that impressed with the women of UF.
