Yep. Pretty damn harsh. I'd like to think that he is trying to set a tone for the program and it was a forest comment and not a trees comment. He was obvioulsy saying that just being in four years is not worth squat. If you don't buy into his plan - bust your butt in academics, bust your butt at practice, on the field, etc. - you can't expect to receive any kudos for simply going through the motions. Sound bad from a PR standpoint? - maybe. But when you realize that he is talking ill of those who do not utilize the educational opportunities of a four year ride, the obligation to grow as role models and leave selfish behavior behind, then I could not agree more.

Florida puts Georgia on notice: Understand this about Florida coach Urban Meyer. He does everything for a reason. And I believe Meyer was putting Georgia on notice with last Saturday?s spring game. Chris Rainey, a red-shirt freshman from Lakeland, Fla., clocked a 4.24 in the 40 this spring and with the ESPN cameras rolling, put on a move for a touchdown that was shown on Sports Center again and again. You can bet that every defensive coordinator in the SEC, including Georgia?s Willie Martinez, will spend part of his summer figuring out what to do when OC Dan Mullen puts Rainey and Percy Harvin on the field at once. I think it was Meyer?s way of letting Georgia know that the Gators will have something to say about who wins the SEC East.

I saw that move. Pretty sick stuff. 5'9" 156 lbs? Is that right?
Gator, any thoughts from the Orange & Blue game?

According to the GVille Sun that 4.24 was hand-timed... his play in the game was impressive though.

Rainey is the real deal. We still need to find an everyday back that won't fumble. I think that we will see lots of Moore and Moody, no matter what Meyer says now, but that we will see lots of plays with no tailback, and Meyer continuing to try to isolate either Rainey or Harvin on a 'backer on those little cross patterns. Those can go for six with those two.
Tim will not run much this year. The defense should be servicible if we don't have injuries at linebacker. We will play some true frosh d lineman this year as well.
Honestly, I think that 09 is our year, not this year.
