Deep down, I don't want scUM to go completely in the crapper, program wise. That said, anyone wants them undefeated goinginto the game is absolutely nuts. I don't want them to have a team THAT good-that would mean they were the #1 team in the country every frickin' year-good lord-who would want that?!? Lloyd's handling of things is just fine for me.
Also, anyone who thinks that a guy like Meyer is going to waltz into the Big 10 or SEC and turn it into their personal punching bag is nuts. Can Meyer keep a top caliber program running, w/ recruiting at the accustomed level-yes, probably, but don't go nuts. The talent levels in the WAC and MAC are far from those at big time-SEC,Big 10- conference schools, and there are far fewer highly talented coaches-Tressel,Saban,Tiller,Alvarez,Richt,Fulmer-to A-compete against recruiting wise, and B-match wits with on a gameday level. Meyer is a great prospect, but anyone who thinks he could waltz in and go 10-1 or 11-0 every year at scUM or Florida is smoking big crack........

Urban Meyer (Merged)
Most of the teams that had a coach that was moving on did poorly in their bowl games. But Utah was focused.
LSU - lost on last-second bomb
Miami Univ - lost
Pitt - lost by 28
ND - lost by 17
Syracuse - lost by 37
Florida - lost by 17
But Utah won big. Palko throws for 5 TD's against ND, and Pitt gets only 7 points against Utah. Does anybody believe Utah has better athletes than ND?
If you saw the screen pass followed by the hook-and-ladder that went for a TD, you saw what coaching schemes and good execution can do.
He'll be interesting to watch in the SEC, where it won't be so easy.
And once again, thanks to Mike Tranghese for securing that automatic BCS spot for the Big East. Pitt really looked like they belonged in a BCS game.
Utah-Pitt was a much better game than Utah-Cal would have been.

I feel UM will lead Florida back to NC contention on a regular basis.
Now that he has more talent, and a solid recruiting base, the sky is the limit.
Alot of people still don't respect him, but I feel he will win big at Florida.

What kind of a knee-jerk reaction is that?
Listen to your wife and shut the hell up!
Sorry - wrong thread!

I agree with you. They're already cranking up the 'Chris Leak for Heisman' campaign in Gainesville. I bet he'll enjoy the new offense.
