Veeck wasn't the first to sign a midget when bringing in Eddie Gaedel, the Yankees already had Phil Rizzuto. 
I hate Notre Dame because 99.9% of ND's fan base isn't even smart enough to enroll there, and this is despite the fact that the ND admission requirement/academic strictness argument has already been proven bunk since Lou Holtz took over. |

I don't hate Notre Dame. I dislike them, though. I think the worst thing about them is how they shot down Big Ten's offer. It makes me think that they have a "holier than thou" opinion. And, of course, ND fans talk about their team the same way. I would LOVE to see ND come crawling to the Big Ten, wanting to join, but the Big Ten says No, and then invites someone like Miami (OH), Marshall, or Louisville. (I know I know - NEVER gonna happen, but it would be sweet!)

I don't really hate ND. There ARE quite a few ND fans I dislike with a passion. The only other thing that bothers me is how quickly the media is ready to jump on the bandwagon. Remember Ty's first season? They're back! Well, maybe not quite. Well, maybe in a year or so. Ok, not until a new coach takes over. Please, let them earn the respect back first. Ah, well, what does the media know?
