Yup. Maybe "confront" is a strong word for it, but Carr is big on having his guys deal with the media the right way, which in Carr's mind is as little and uncontroversially as possible. He certainly sets the example in that regard. Especially in the "as little as possible" department. Hart is actually one of the classiest, hardest-working football players you'll find, and one of the team leaders (guaranteed captain next year) so I don't envision a screaming session, but Carr will probably pull his running back aside, maybe in his office on Monday, and have a word with him regarding the virtues of the cliche. Especially with regards to the aforementioned leadership role.

Michael Hart said the outcome of a rematch would be different... I think he was right.
We'd kick their ass!!! /End Homer comments That being said Michael Hart played his ass off. He is really damn good. UM players do need to learn the humble qualities that Tress preaches to the players. I swear I heard 6 different players mention humble (or some synonym tonight) while praising UM for playing so hard. We had them broken at half... and let them back in the game. Damn you Tressel, I know I'm headed for a coronary. But for now (after being at 2 different parties that were busted by cops) I must end this with a GO BUCKS!!!! I coaxed my dad into cashing in frequent flyer miles in the 4th quarter! |

After the game I was very proud of Mike Hart's preformance, even more so than some scUM fans out there. The guy hadn't had more than 75 or less total yards against Ohio State in his first 2 years, and then he goes out and has an amazing preformance like tonights. However, he then goes and totally ruins it by running his damn mouth. I too lost a lot of respect for the guy, I was going to come on here and praise him for his preformance today, but I just can't do it anymore after the completley classless comments by him after the game, emotions or not, Hart proved he has no actual heart.

This one falls in very low on the things BKB gives a [censored] about category. Hart can say whatever he wants. Doesn't change his career oh-fer v. Ohio State.

It must be very difficult to give an interview after The Game considering the emotions that are involved. Giving an interview after yesterday's installment of The Game would be even more difficult, especially when on the short end of the stick like Hart was.
He played a great game and he is a damn good back. The words that came out of his mouth were a poor choice, to say the least. If the game had gone the other way and we were on the wrong side of the 42-39 socre, I really doubt that Troy Smith would have said those words about the scUM defense. I doubt Pittman would have either. Or TGII. Maybe I have a certain level of misguided "faith" in what our boys would have said in relation to the scUMmers had we lost yesterday, but I do believe that over time, the actions of the head coach determine the actions of the team on the field and the words of the head coach influence the words of the players off the field. I believe that our young men would have been a little more congratulatory in loss than what Mr. Hart was in large part because our young men are being coached by JT. JT has never been accused of being a whiner, unlike LLLLLoyd. I guess when I heard Hart's comments I simply smiled. I wasn't surprised at all that one of their star players said what he said; I considered who his head coach was. And that my dear Buckeye fans, made my smile much, much larger. |

Two things.
1. I would love to play scUM again so we could beat them worse, because I think that would happen without a doubt considering the potential point spread we blew last night (sigh, oh well ).2. I PRAY we beat scUM in the big toilet next year and send Hart & Henne out laying some serious career eggs. Everyone on this board knows 5Loyd and co. are already [censored]ing down their legs in anxiety thinking, what if we lose to them again next year. Moral of the story...shut your mouth and put up on the field. Score should have been worse ya frickin baby. |

I saw the PC and I am going to give Hart a pass on this one and chalk it up as just sour grapes and the emotions in this game.

I see no big deal in this. He played a hell of a game, the team scored 39 points against a team rarely allowing the opposition into double digits, and lost a chance to not only get a huge monkey off his back but also a shot at a national championship. He is a young man who went through a ton of emotions in that game. I am sure Carr has already spoken to him and doubt he will make another comment like that in his collegiate career. |
