Not worth it. I don't think any rational fan would base any of the Big-10's rep on Mike Hart's success in the NFL. Sure, some idiot redneck SEC fan would probably make some remark about one of the all-time leading rushers in the Big-10 not being able to make it in the NFL but you can't reason with those types anyways. I hope Hart gets cut and has to fall back on his major at scUM.

I hope he makes it. It'd be good for the conference.

How is that good for the conference?

How is having the leading rusher in UM history unable to make an NFL roster not bad for the conference - reputation wise?

..how is it bad? Anytime a player from the Big 10 proves himself, it's a plus for the conference. Maybe not in the eyes of Big 10 fans, but outside of our conference it would certainly help.
I'm not saying I want him to be the next LT. I just don't see how it would be anything but good for the conference if he were good enough to make the team.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't make the team. It's not uncommon for a team to carry four runningbacks. As much as I hate the little guy, he's a helluva football player and should be a decent backup in the NFL. It will help that he won't have a coach running his injury prone body into the ground.

Even if the B10 were being praised as the current top conference by the nation's fanatic base and national media, I still couldn't bring myself to wish Hart or any other former scum player cut from his respective NFL team. The rivalry just doesn't move into that realm much for me. If you played college football at a high level then I wish you nothing but the best while competing at the next level. Furthermore, with the current hourly bashing of the conference, this viewpoint is intensified to the point where not only do I hope Hart isn't cut, but I hope he's successful and gets opportunities to carry the rock for the Colts. I hated his guts at meechigan, but he's a colt now. Who knows, maybe he'll get his wish and beat the Bucks... Tampa Bay.
