Michael "0-4" Hart
i dont get why this kid is getting soo much attention.... the reason why he ran for 1400 last year was because of Bray Bray. Henne isnt even good, if you watched THE GAME...all they did was throw alley oops to bray but ashton is just too damn good. I expect michigan to go 8-4 get killed by iowa and us and henne and hart do nothing

As much as I hate Michigan, I'm not gonna say that Hart sucks or anything. Hart is a solid back who indeed had a great freshman yr. BUT, yeah a lot of his success has to be atributed to Braylon. Michigan wouldnt be much if it wernt for Braylon Edwards. Henne i think is overhyped at this point, he was stacked around great receivers last year with Edwards, Breaston and Avant plus a good back in Hart. Now add Grady/Simpson/Martin to that backfield. Obviously, thats gonna only help Henne's chances of getting more unnecessary attention....

Hart didn't accomplish anything in the Game because we did a ridiculously good job of containing him. And Texas took notice...
Hart is a talented back and if our d-line slips up then he could very much tear us a new ass a la Chris Perry in 2003.

Hart is a good back but i don't believe he is a game changing back like Peterson or MoC was for us (sorry for bringing that up). Henne also is a good QB and should only get better, but it does help having Edwards and co. Yes we all dislike Michigan on this board but we should give respect to their good players. Now that doesn't mean you can't bash their players, so feel free to do that all you want. But i also don't have to tell you that.

A couple of things..
1. Hart saved our BUTT bigtime last year....without the establishment of a running game, we would have seen more games like ND....
2. To say this kid ran for 1400 yds because of Edwards is foolish IMO..
If you watch the kid run...his running abilities are simply PHENOMENAL...and that is without being "fast"...
His vision is uncanny, he sees things before they happen, he's VERY shifty, and his balance is off the charts...
He says he's faster now...which I'll wait to see....
Is he better than Peterson? No...Peterson's size and speed combo is freakish..
Is he as legit as Ginn as a Heisman candidate? Certainly IMO...the award favors QB's and RB's more than any other position...
Do I think he wins it? No...if nothing else because he won't carry the ball as much as last year with Grady and Mad Max also in the mix..

yes but he also put Omar Jacobs ahead of both of them which we know the chances of that happening are slim to none
sorry to hijack the thread a little so i'll put in some input on hart... good back helped by a solid o-line that will be hurting after the loss of bass
He also got helped out by having some good recievers Edwards(great), Avant and Breaston (solid)

Perry didn't tear us a new ass due to our DL, but rather because we didn't have an established MLB in The Game. No way Hart pulls a Perry on us...

Its not that foolish to say Hart was helped by Edwards, becuase Edwards allowed for a strong passing game, which in turn allowed for a better running game. Yes Hart is a good back but i wouldn't go as for a saying, "his running abilities are simply PHENOMENAL". Ted Ginn Jr. has Phenomenal running skills, Hart just has good running skills. Hart will have another good to great year, but i don't think he has the game breaking ability of the other top college players. Hart is a good player but he is also helped by michigans strong o-line, much like other michigan backs who were good in college but busts in the nfl.
