Can't have two of your offensive skill players out at once?
Eventually the schools will take these decisions away from the coaches.

I don't have a problem with them dealing with Peterson's missed classes without costing him game time. They have a policy for that, and he hasn't missed enough classes to cost himself game time yet.
Bomar, on the other hand, would have missed a game if it were my decision.
But, dadgum it, it's not.

What completely spineless claptrap. He'll serve his time until he's needed. He is teaching AP nothing with this wishy-washy stance.
Makes me more glad we have Tressel running the show in Columbus. To think some were calling for Bob Stoops to be savior when Coop was thrown to the curb.

This is a bunch of bull[censored]! Troy Smith misses 1 day of classes that were full of speeches and study table for an upcomming test to go help out a kids camp for free- its a national frenzy on OSU. We put Smiths ass on punishment even in the offseason! Peterson was a Heisman candidate who missed 2 full days of school and classes, yet you still have to think about whether or not youshould bench him?! This is a bunch of crap.

Smith and AP did the same thing. Keeping him out of practice is the same thing that JT did to TS. The underage drinking [censored] should've warranted a suspension of some sort, but I don't believe that AP skipping class should, unless it becomes habitual.

But TS had a reason to be out of his classes. He was at a kids camp, and it wasnt during the season. If it was during the season, Im sure Tressel would had without a doubt, held him out of a game. There are different circumstances now that Oklahomas season is underway with a loss under their belt and struggling with AP. You can tell they fear holding out their only playmaker so they can keep a budya this weekend.

I wonder what Alan Iverson thinks about the suspension...........
"I don't think you understand. We're talking about practice. Practice! Practice, man, Practice! I know what you're saying, but we're talking about practice."

I know this is kind of off topic, but Does anybody think Peterson is a bit overrated?
Maroney ran for more yards than Peterson did on Tulsa. I think Maroney is overrated also since he can't move the chains if his life depended on it, but Peterson after seeing him in the OB did not look all world.
He's a big back with speed, but what I noticed, especially in the OB is that he doesn't run with any power, and doesn't have the greatest balance. He was getting arm tackled by safeties against USC. Anybody else agree with me? Or am I just delusional for not having seen him play enough outside some highlights and the Bowl game.

Did you happen to see his TD run this Saturday? If that's not an amazing blend of power and balance...
