I think we tend to overestimate the importance of the QB. Not saying they aren't your most critical player and that a good QB is most often the key to an NC run. However, if Boeckman were to go down (knock on wood) would we abandon our title hopes?
You can run your O in a way that minimizes what you ask of the QB. It absolutely makes you less effective. But if you have a line and some RBs you can put together enough of a passing game with a respectable QB to compete without asking him to shoulder a disproportionates burden.
All provided of course you have one hell of a Defense. |

WOW!! Just catching up on this news. My thoughts: - Good for Les Miles. Didn't know he had it in him. . . thoughts of tsun and a lost opportunity for a real "Michigan Man" in comparison to who they settled for.
- Another thug snatching infamy from the jaws of glory.
- The season opener with App State, who will clearly have the better QB on the field, just got a tad bit more interesting.

i cant wait to see this come back and haunt LSU. they should be careful what they wish for. next year THEY will be the ones with the entire country laughing at them and end up on the wrong end of the "Pontiac Game Changing Performace" of the year. (and because of this i will never EVER buy a pontiac or gm product) |

Maybe a tighter nexus to the problem would be to throw away the Michigan gear...
