I'm surprised that there is a thread on this guy...
He never gave the Bucks a serious look.

tOSU was in his early top 3 and we were just following up on his recruitment. But I do agree that tOSU has not been in the picture for a long time.

What's up with all the early QB commits? By my quick count only 21 of the top 100 players nationally have pulled the trigger, but Perrilloux makes it 7 of the top 8 QBs.
(The #13 QB is also commited to Texas BTW.)

Sears posted this in March. You nailed it Sears, good job.

Look for Texas to be a major player for Ryan's services as they were shunned by all their QB recruitng targets last year. Throw in the fact that they do not have anyone behind Vince Young after Chance Mock graduates next year and Perilloux will be one of the Horn's top priorities. There's also a small possibility VY could declare early for the NFL draft (some local buzz I've heard here).

Nice call on Perrilloux, Sears.
Do you really think Vince Young can go pro early? I don't think he makes reads or throws well enough to play QB in the NFL yet. Does the buzz that he would leave early have him going as a QB or RB?
I'll be surpised if he doesn't play 3 more years at Texas.

Perrilloux mixing up his signals Prep QB '60-40 in favor of Texas'

East St. John High School blue-chip quarterback Ryan Perrilloux.
One day after telling The Advocate he didn't plan to make public his college choice until after the 2004 football season, blue-chip quarterback Ryan Perrilloux told at least two media outlets Monday he's committed to the University of Texas.
Perrilloux, who will be a senior this season at East St. John High School in Laplace, continued to send mixed signals. He visited with LSU coaches at Nick Saban's camp and said he planned to use all five of his official visits allowed under NCAA rules -- including a return trip to LSU.
In the morning, Perrilloux told Rivals.com, a national network of Web sites specializing in college recruiting, he committed Sunday to Texas quarterbacks coach Greg Davis at a summer camp in California.
In the afternoon, Perrilloux told Richard Condon, the host of "Condon's Corner" on radio station WIBR-AM, 1300, he's "committed to Texas." Pressed by Condon to say how strong his commitment is, Perrilloux said it's "60-40" in favor of Texas.
Nailing down Perrilloux's status, more than six months before the Feb. 2 start of the national signing period, has been elusive, to say the least. His statements Monday came a day after he repeatedly insisted he would make no such announcement until after the season.
The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, which closely covers East St. John and recruiting, quoted Perrilloux in its Monday editions as saying he might decide during the season or wait until it ends.
Perrilloux did not return phone calls Monday afternoon and evening.
East St. John coach Larry Dauterive, who spent the last week saying a commitment was imminent, seemed puzzled by Perrilloux's actions.
"If he said he's going to Texas, why is he at LSU today?" Dauterive said. "Maybe that's the 40 percent of doubt in his mind. Maybe that's why he said it's 60-40, but that 40 percent could be split between four schools."
On his Web site -- www.Ryan11.com -- Perrilloux lists Florida State, Michigan and

even though tOSU is not involved, it should be fun to see how this one plays out

I don't think he's ready at all Bill for the very same reasons you outlined. He still has a very long way to go to develop as a passing QB. He was pulled on a few occassions last year in favor of Chance Mock when Texas was behind and needed to throw the ball.
They all have him going as a QB and not a RB.
