You can't deny that they have some fun out in Cali.....I can't imagine JT ever letting his son put something like this together, although it's quite entertaining.

Even if you aren't enjoying it, I recommend watching until at least "isn't exactly Montana to rice."

When the Buckeyes and Trojans finally do tangle ? and judging by recent activity, it can?t get here fast enough for fans of every stripe ? Pete Carroll will be taking the field against a school he formerly coached at for the first time in his career.

Carroll arrived in Columbus for the 1979 season attached to new head coach Earl Bruce. He had spent the previous season as Bruce?s secondary coach at Iowa State and would be assuming the same duties for the Buckeyes.

Bruce?s first team featured 11 returning starters including sophomore quarterback Art Schlichter, who had started all 12 games a freshman in Woody?s final season. Still, the loss of an icon had tempered expectations heading into the season and the defense was still smarting from giving up the most points per game in nearly 40 years.

Petie said today on College Football Live that, other than his own, the 'Shoe was his favorite stadium in college football - attributed to his days coaching at tOSU (the question was phrased "other than your own stadium, which is your favorite?). Good answer.

Guess all of the talk about Petey and his jet is true. He was at the Punahou-Kamehameha high school game last night. I saw him and Ken Norton Jr. outside of the stadium, and then on the sidelines, watching Manti Teo (Punahou LB). Not too often that one of college football's top guns comes to Hawaii, this early in the season, to see a prospect.

Actor Will Ferrell stars in Trojans' post-practice prank

His Captain Compete saves a man who 'fell' from a platform and another on fire, as Coach Pete Carroll extends tradition of pulling pranks.
USC football practices sometimes attract actors and other entertainment personalities, but Thursday saw the biggest Hollywood production of the Pete Carroll era.
A stuntman fell from a platform, another ran across the field on fire. Both were "saved" by actor Will Ferrell, who wore a mask, half an Ironman costume and a Speedo-style swimsuit as Captain Compete.
"Just a little Halloween spirit," Carroll said of the post-practice stunt. "Have a little fun."
Carroll has a history of pranks, which have been celebrated by some and criticized by others.
On Oct. 31, 2005, running back LenDale White stormed off the field during practice and could later be heard yelling from the top of a building. As players looked on, a dummy wearing White's jersey fell from the roof, scaring some teammates and causing others to roar with laughter.

As he prepared his team to face Notre Dame this week, Southern California coach Pete Carroll was blunt in his assessment of his team's lone loss of the season. The Trojans were upset by Oregon State on Sept. 25 because of the hype surrounding the Ohio State game two weeks before, he says.
"It was too big of a relief of stress and buildup," Carroll said. "There was a whole year of talking about it. This was an unusually significant game. That's what I'm guessing."
