Rematch In The Desert? (Miami 2006 outlook)
After looking at other teams' 2006 schedules, the only team besides the Buckeyes that will, or has a chance of, going undefeated next season are the Miami Hurricanes. This will happen because:
1) In Week 1 they play Florida State at home (whom they always find a way to beat)
2) They will beat Louisville on the road
3) Their other non-conference games are all home and against low-grade opponents
4) Their away conference games are against beatable teams (Duke, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Virginia) and they will dust North Carolina at home
5) After being 8-0, they will beat Virginia Tech at home
6) After being 11-0, they will close out the season with a win at home against Boston College
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=TSN5 width="50%">

This will result in a rematch in the desert;
The Ohio State Buckeyes against the Miami Hurricanes, just like in 2002 and with the same result:
The Ohio State Buckeyes as 2006 National Champions

Don't forget that they also would have to get by someone in the ACC Championship game.

So, materially, what's the diference between this schedule and their old Big Least schedule? Other than it may be even easier?
I mean, unless Maryland or Georgia Tech are better than usual, their only 2 tough games are both at home and separated by 8 weeks of cake.
I guess I would be equally happy crushing either Miami or Notre Dame or USC for the NC, though.

How about a rematch in the desert with Fat Charlie and his boys.
There would be nothing sweeter than Michigan and PSU(even know I want both of them to lose to ND) losing to both and then watching us beat them for the national championship. That would be like smearing it in the face of 3 of my most hated schools, but I wouldnt mind watching Notre Dame have a bad year, and not even sniffing the Fiesta bowl.

Miami has the talent but there is no way they go undefeated. Coker is struggling big time and will be breaking in 5 new asst. coaches. The attitude of that team is terrible... at least when they were cocky and had their "swagger" they played as a team... if you look at the last few year all you have is a bunch of talented kids playing as individuals... they'll never win a Championship like that.

I agree with this 100%.
But I think Kyle Wright is legit, he had some pretty big moments last year, as well as some growing pains, but I think he'll be pretty good this year.
...But his name isn't Troy Smith, so he won't be the best QB in college football.
