C'mon man, thats a pretty tasteless remark to make about the situation. I'm all for poking fun at the Ty Willingham situation when it comes the current state of the football program, but this isn't about a game. I feel lucky that I never had to go through a loss like this kid is experiencing.

Good taste has never been my strong point.

Obviously, I feel terrible for the guy, but I'm not one who feels that anonymous internet platitudes are really relevant to anyone. I could express how unfortunate this is and how fortunate I am that I've never been in such a circumstance, but frankly, how I feel about the situation is irrelevant.

I made a joke. Was it in poor taste? Yeah. It was probably a little too soon, as well. But it's not the first insensitive and/or tasteless joke on the internet and I assure you it won't be the last. I apologize if I've offended your sensibilities with my somewhat callous attitude towards someone I've never met, but I'm not going pretend like this really affects me, either.

Looks like the team will be in attendance, even a day before a big game (At least for this season) against Navy. Good to see their priorities are in line, being there for a teammate.

I will be surprised if they don't sell out to be honest, not because of the quality of the sport but if you live in South Bend what the hell else is there to do on a Saturday? You can go, tailgate and weep with the rest of the fans, or better yet, talk about next year and how everyone better laugh now because you're going to win the next 60 straight with 4 NC's and 5 Heismans in that period. I say this because the Domer fans at work don't even seem shocked, they are still saying "we knew our recruiting class was bad, so this season is what we expected." So, NoD fans really expected to win 1 game at this point in the season? Hell, I didn't even expect that, I lost a bet to OSU_Buckguy over that, so Irish fans aren't fooling anyone.
