WVU/VPI - 2003
WOW! What a game. WVa dominated VaTech 28-7. I know we need a lot of things to happen for the Bucks to get to a title game (like us winning all of our games), but the first domino has fallen.
I don't know if I've seen a team come so unglued in the middle of a game. VaTech had personal fouls right and left. WVa pounded that team on the ground and their only score was a gift from the officials. Could VaTech's schedule have been too soft up until that game? I was just stunned watching it. Sure hope VaTech can rebound and take out Miami.

VaTech and its great D. We heard the same crap about the VaTech D last year. Actually, the referee was on the no-call fumble at the end of the first half, and looking at the replay closely, it did not appear that the VaTech player's leg had hit the ground when the ball left his hands. Pitt will have a good-bye kiss for both VaTech and Miami in Pittsburgh.

I'll second that 3yards. Now it's time for Colorado to step up and do their part

I predicted this upset yesterday. To me, the game looked uglier than the outcome. The VaTech TD was BS. The guy's butt had hit the ground when the ball came out. My question is, how is this only WVA's third win. Between this, Miami, and the little bit of the Wisky game, they have looked like a pretty stout team. Hopefully, the Hokies can regroup and give it to the Canes next week and Georgi can do their normal choke job in Jacksonville.

I picked this one too. Va. Tech is, well, Va Tech. I loved the chants of ACC, ACC, ACC in the crowd. I think Pitt will have a couple of good-bye parties a little later in the year.

gbearbuck, I'll be [censored]ed if they (VaTech) don't fall at least as far as the Bucks did. We fell from #3 to #8. We lost on the road to a top 25 team by 7 points in a rain storm. We had our chances in that game at the end. VaTech lost to an unranked team (on the road) by 21 points in good weather. They were not in the game after halftime. If they don't drop as far as we did there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the Polls.

3yards,
Also we had a bunch of teams behind us lose (so we could have fallen further)... if there aren't any other upsets in the top 10 then they should fall OUT OF THE TOP TEN!!! (think about how far we would have fallen if all those other upsets didn't occur... I still don't know how some teams jumped us... meaning teams like FSU that also lost were behind us, and are now infront of us)...??
