What a daunting task. They start the season in the Top Ten, They move AHEAD of Texas in week two and they'll move AHEAD of LSU or Auburn at the end of this week. Hell, if Michigan wins these clowns could be a solid three in the polls and worrying about Rutgers to end the season. They'd like to schedule an academy, but Notre Dame has them booked for the next twenty years.

It's pathetic when somebody's 2nd toughest game is 'at Pitt'. It will be interesting to see how far down in the computers W. Virginia will be when the BCS standings start next month, but the Big East has a couple of decent wins so far, so they may not get dropped as much as they deserve for this schedule.

You know what's even worse? That option attack could do massive damage to OSU's rush-challenged defense. WVU at this point would worry me a lot. By the end of the season hopefully the D will have firmed up against the run, right now I wouldn't want to have to face them.
And yes, that schedule's a joke. Didn't help when Louisville lost Bush.

Anyone know how WVU's scheduling went after BC, Miami, and VT bolted for the ACC? I mean ... WVU is a really good team, and they shouldn't be dismissed just because they play in the Big East. I'm just curious how long ago those OOC games were scheduled, because WVU shouldn't be penalized if those were already under contract before the Hokies and Canes bailed from their conference slate.
Marshall is a rivalry game, and Maryland was probably scheduled when they were a 10-win program too.

Ironically, a big reason why Maryland is no longer a 10-win program is that they now have FSU, Miami, and BC in their conference.
