NORTHWESTERN at NEVADA
After a strong start in the BIG 10... NU losing 31-21 with 2 mins to go. Man they are so hot and cold.

I think it's safe to say the days of a competitive Northwestern have come and gone.

The humorous highlight of the game was the Thumpian Colts injury report on the ticker which stated: "Freeney DE (Buttocks) and Viniateri K (Groin)" questionable for game vs. Jacksonville"

Sooo...the question that remains - how many multiples of 14 are we going to beat them by?

The following is not to rag on a first year head coach, especially one who has had the responsibility thrust on him at an early age.
Go back to the first quarter of that game. NWestern up 7-0 and having it all their way. Tyrell Sutton gashing the Nevada D for big gains pretty much every time he handles the rock.
And they go away from the run, (Sutton's fumble set up a field goal for Nevada) and have down after down with passing, yielding INTs, and a 17 point first quarter for Nevada. That right there was the real diference in this game.
And I do believe some of the blame falls on the play-callers for the Wildcats. They made themselves less than multi-dimensional on offense, while they still sported a lead.
