I guess the conference doesn't want to hear it as they've ruled that both penalties called against Mays were not actually penalties (no late hit out of bounds penalty when you hit the guy while he is completely inbounds) |

I think that was the jist of this week's half time report. |

No [censored] you don't have a problem with them. The conference ruled yesterday that the fake field goal was also illegal. Between that, the two BS calls on Mays, and the no-call on the mcknight tackle five steps after he went out of bounds, you're 7 points and 60 yards happywith the refs. |

Not bitter as SC won and the calls setup the great ending, but ND had a decided schematic advantage

But just for the record I thought the fake field goal was suspicious. You can't "hide" a potential receiver like that. He has to be in a huddle or out on the field, visible, not just barely on the field before the offense approaches the LOS. May end up in a rule change which forces teams to huddle, before field goal tries. |

Sure, just make sure to tell your refs to get in line then, not our fault that they suck. There were plenty of taunting calls that weren't enforced against USC, they were pretty chippy all game. That fake FG was pretty shady, but I don't see how they failed to notice he was just standing off to the side before the play. That looked like a Deion Sanders move, I heard he would sit and talk with the sideline before a play, like it wasn't coming his way, then take off and catch the corner off guard. Pete nearly lost the game despite his offensive and defensive lines manhandling our guys. Our defense was completely horrible in the 1st and 3rd quarters. They someone turned things around, especially in the 4th, and made adjustments. I think a lot of it was the players enthusiasm and confidence though. |

I think the receiver stood in Charlie's shadow while the FG team ran onto the field. No wonder the defense couldn't see him.

Yeah, who ever would have thought the arrogant little [censored] in this:
![]() ...would end up like that. I love it. Congrats Jimmah, all that pomp and bull[censored] coming in and you'll end up leaving absolutely irrelevant in the lore of CFB history...just like nd's last future three time Heisman winner (minus the ass beatings to tOSU unfortunately). That crybaby pic should provide an endless bounty of farks too. ![]() Last edited by NFBuck; 11-09-2009 at 11:23 PM. |
