Let's give our visitors the benefit of the doubt and look instead at the period 1869-1989 and then 1990-2005. This way, we include their most recent "glory years" at the beginning of the 1990s in the most recent period and cast them in the best possible light.
We also cast ourselves in the worst possible light doing this because we put the John Cooper big-game meltdowns in the present. Anyway, here's the file in pdf format. What it shows is that prior to 1990, Notre Dame had a much better record against those 9 teams, since that time, both teams are short .500 just one game.
However, this does not include the records those teams had when they played either team, and as I have shown earlier in the thread, Notre Dame looks great against these teams when these teams are in a year in which they are losing 3-7 games. Otherwise, they are likely to get beaten like a drum.
You can also see the effects on Penn State of joining the Big Ten, very clearly.

Besides your grammatical error, how is somebody posting an article about the TV coverage and calling it ironic not doing his homework? By the way, we know that can be a distraction while posting at the same time.
To everybody: I split some garbage off from this thread yesterday, and I can tell I'm going to have to do it again today.

BB73, what I really find so funny is that these Domers try to shout about their tradition and great wins and so on, then when you put the facts on the table, they respond only by finding some small point in another post. It really is hilarious.
Notre Dame fans reading about their last sorry performance...
